"soli" is only plural for "solo" - has nothing to do with 3rd world underground pysch music.

cause that could've been language trivia just as much as music

i wanted to address that before you said it, but i thought i'd let you go ahead.

that wouldn't be the first time anyone has wrong boarded, though. i was just mistaken because your lack of wording wasn't clear.

i can get that

if we had a movies forum and i posted a thread titled 'what new releases are you most excited for" only a few jokers might post something like "oh i can't wait for begonias to be in season", not realizing they are in the movies forum.

(nothing against begonias)

no. it would be like going to a movie forum and making a thread titled 'stuff you just learned' and someone posting something they learned.

well this is an SP forum and I'm not in the general SP forum so no that is not an appropriate analogy

this is off the gen board (whatever that may be) and in one of the dedicated sub-forums

On "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" they sometimes have music theory related questions that I'm sure aren't well known by most musical people. Like last night there was one that asked what ballet dance move is also the name of a musical technique, and I could only rule out "pirouette" which I know is a ballet move but definitely isn't a music term. The others I had never even heard of.

Also I didn't learn anything because I forgot what the other terms were, sorry for not following the rules

the plural of octopus is not octopi.

I just learned what "motorboating" is

I knew the act, though never practiced it myself for lack of mental retardation, but didn't know it was called motorboating.

Are you a motorboating enthusiast?

I guess I learned a little bit ago a way to count "Pyramid Song." Four measures of waltz and one measure of common. I guess that'd make it 16/4 or something? I mean, I guess you could still count it in 4/4, it'd just be awkward.
