i've been listening to her every day since summer and i saw her live last month. she's my favorite new artist. i've seen some comments on here by people who weren't impressed by her material which is unfortunate because she is so amazing. maybe i can convert some of you tho. you can thank me later

if you aren't familiar with bjork, sade, aaliyah, or trip hop twigs might take some getting used to

here's her most popular song (lead single off lp1)

this is her most bass-heavy song and i recommend listening to it with your best headphones

I found out about her on here. Sonic Johnny recommended her to me in a thread I made about alternative R&b. I like her a lot. If you like her you might like Jessie Wares first album. She's also a British alternative R&b singer.

ahhh that's awesome! tbh i enjoy the stuff from her EPs more than her LP but it's still definitely worth listening to. and ia about her stage presence, she's mesmerizing

It's totally a thing.

Twigs is dope. I much preferred the EP to the album though. "Water Me" is unreal.

It's totally a thing.

its vapor production put to an r&b style the question is how long will the vaporwave influence hold. imo it's a revitalization of screw music which some say never dies.

hip hop and r and b is known for its style disposability in terms of local cultures and the charts

Yeah I can see the screw influence. It's taken on a lot of elements of trap too.
