It is mindblowing how many rock and pop acts are supporting IS.

Here, another one. She's not exactly ashamed of her political ideology

I heard some stuff from Oceanic a few years ago and really liked it but sorta forgot about it.
I need to listen to this band.

Trots have you fucked with the Red Sea EP at all? The last two minutes of the title track house the definitive/ultimate ISIS riff:

You should listen it in the context of the whole song but you impatient fuckers can skip to 5:28ish

I honestly think Absence Of Truth is the only thing close to a blot on their discography, and even that's like a 7/10 album. I really like the way they bowed out after Wavering Radiant, it was like they finally reached the culmination of their entire career arc - the gradual transition from sludgy hardcore band to straight-up prog - and just went "right, we've done that, now onto other things". Very classy, you don't see that often from bands these days.

I'm listening to Celestial again now. Fuck me man that first groove slays.

i think you see that often enough in indie

obviously not FUCKING U2

While Oceanic and Panopticon are undeniably good, I've always preferred Wavering Radiant. I think it is way overlooked for having come after they were big.

Ghost Key and Threshold of Transformation... Just top notch. I have good memories of a road trip through misty Appalachia listening to it.

celestial (the tower) is one of the coolest songs ever in best of decade category.
