The only place where Heiniken tastes good is in the Netherlands.

Rolling Rock isnt really the worst beer in the world. I used to drink cases of rolling rock in college.
I don't know if it was my taste buds getting used to craft beer or what Anheuser Bush did to Latrobe brewery, but today it tastes like piss to me.

nah, i really like shiner. bock, black, and even that ruby redbird was pretty good the one time i had it. like if our fathers had a go-to beer - well, shiner would be mine. i will tell my kids about it.

I always suspected his parents must not be from Texas.

He's the first Texan I ever met and he defied all my stereotypes about them. It makes me uncomfortable when people do that. why do I even bother stereotyping people then?

Rural Illinois is pretty Texan, so you're a generational resident.

Trotskilicious
05-31-2014, 06:48 PM
it is not

sppunk

The small time I've spent there was similar to small eastern Texan towns, minus the accent and good food.

vixnix

Rural Illinois is a huge flat corn field hell hole. Plains, baby. They'll make you wanna kill yourself.

are you talking about south illinois, sppunk

sppunk
05-31-2014, 08:21 PM
SW is the only real part I've seen except the burbs of Rockford.

Trotskilicious
05-31-2014, 08:42 PM
"real part"

my pop is from the plains. the southern parts of Ill, indiana and ohio are generally more southern culturally than you might expect

but northern illinois is defs the midwest

Trotskilicious
05-31-2014, 08:43 PM
actually vixnix's description is dramatic and trolly but more accurate than east texas comparisons
