that version is great too, but the intro/outro key change thing with the lead over it, oh my god. hot fucking shit right there. In 2008 on the anniversary tour they played the siyl version but with some crazy soloing at the end. it burnt the lies off my soul. actually everyone was sitting down through the show being lame as shit, and when speed kills started I was just like, am I really going to sit through speed FUCKING kills? no way. so I stood up and started rocking out. after ignoring a few calls of "down in the front!" some other people around me stood up too. that shit was hardcore

prefer the M2 version also, more reminiscent of the Arising shows. very good song. never could get into the more polished SIYL version tbh. only one will make the cut if the Machina reissues happen, so i'm obviously hoping it's the one that actually needs cleaning up etc.

i've always been torn on which version i like better. i know everybody hates how polished machina 1 was but i thought it fit that song.

Since I've already bothered to reply to this thread, i might as well agree with the person who said the SIYL version is superior. I always subbed this version in on my personal edited version of machina II.
