Makes sense since she's playing Reverend now. I don't know for how much used Fender basses usually go now - are these prices reasonable?

She stated on her fb fan page that she has three of everything she has and wanted to scale down.

Price wise, the jazz basses are an okay price. The pbass isn't really worth it. You can get same one for about $1,200 new.

There's no reason to ever pay more than a thousand for an instrument. I say.

Whaaaaat? You cray dude. If you want a quality fender bass that is made in the USA, you are paying over 1k. You can totally buy a cheaper one but they are prone to breaking etc. Certain instruments are worth the money.

I'm a bass gear enthusiast and a good bass is easily worth over 1000$. A current American precision is easily worth 1000$. I used to have one and don't regret trading up (plus cash) for a Fender Select Precision. I'd spend even more and trade up for an early 70's maple neck.

You'll never get the classic Ric sound for under 1000$ either.

Again don't feed the trolls.

If someone says something that's patently absurd don't feed them further.

If someone says for example 1 plus 1 equals 3 there are just situations where it's not worth engaging them.

This is one of those times.
