What is it? What's the source... mixing board or cameras? Are we talking Twickenham or Apple Studios here? Is this stuff previously available on bootlegs or not?

I'll have to listen at my cubicle in about 15 minutes...

The source of it are the tapes that were found in the Netherlands earlier this year. (http://www.rollingstone.com/news/newsarticle.asp?nid=17317)

I think that some of this has been booted before. But it's cool to hear it on the radio. Hard to tell the audio quality over an internet stream, but it doesn't sound bad at all.

They're not playing complete songs, for the most part. There is a lot of comparisons, too. Like the Glynn Johns mix of Let it Be, vs. Spector, vs. Martin. Long and Winding Road versions. Some interesting noodling of Paul working out progressions and phrasing of LIB on the piano. Lots of commentary from two dudes in the studio. One guy called in and said he'd heard most of this before.

Accoustic "Everybody had a hard year," Glynn Johns "I've got a feeling."

Hmmmm... Yeah, if it's Glyn Johns stuff, I've got all that...

All done.

Yeah, I think that the tapes that have been recovered were the sources for all of the LIB/GB era boots that are floating around.

There's a TON of stuff from that era that I've never heard before, so it's hard to tell what's new and what's not. I would imagine that to most hard core completists that there would be no surprises on the show.

Still, pretty awesome that they would even play it. Perhaps someday we'll get an All Songs Considered Smile!
