I'm not sure what the hell this means but being oblique didn't stop bill from attacking Pavement for running on 15 years now:

pirates of the caribbean 47
johnny depp stars as the robot pirate
who (loses) his wife in a game of poker
and tries to win her back with hilarious consequences
at least Harry Potter has a proper story
in the sense that the characters crave an ending
if (only) to release poor Billy Corgan
from his role as the titular character's nemesis

billy corgan = voldemort?

lots and lots of smiths, japandroids, filastine was spun a bunch but i think i wore it out, refused, ride, i'll probably give future of the left more spins because i like his style

i've actually been looking for something to hook me lately, getting a little stale

The Plot Against Common Sense is a fantastic album.

Robocop 4 is an odd track though, not least because he picks some bizarre targets (Howard the Duck is a great rhyme, but Lucas has buried the film so the point doesn't stand), the Billy Corgan line is cringeworthy. Falco's presumably aware of this and there's a cleverer point he's making. Still should've swapped it for Emily Pankhurst or New Adventures from the EP.

Better than Oceania anyhow.

haha way more interesting right? this particular song is terrible but i like the lyrics

if you can kind of stand away from it looking at it not as music but really caustic, obnoxious poetry then it's almost brilliant

Haha. I'm sure the grating guitar work is supposed to emulate being repeatedly punched in the face by explosions in a Michael Bay movie or something pretentious like that, but it's an annoying novelty track in an otherwise solid album.
