If you disregard Teargarden then I'd say its safe to assume that Zeitgeist is considered the consensus worst Smashing Pumpkins album released. At this point my expectations for Oceania are that it can at best be a little bit better than Zeitgeist but if I had to guess I'm think it will ultimately end up being worse than Zeitgeist due to the absence of the great drumming which was on that album.

So what do you think will be the consensus better album in a year or two?

Teargarden did without any effort at all. Literally no effort at all. What's the one really shitty song on the album that just repeats the same 2-3 lines the whole way through?

The obelisk has a demon in it.

Billy prayed over those obelisks before they were released and it's caused a spiritual battle between humans and demons. Thanks for doing that.

How can this be a serious question if we haven't even heard Oceania yet?

Pretty sure everyone here has heard the amazon clips. Those combined with the songs that we've heard live already gives you a pretty good idea of what this album is going to be like.

It's not going to be a good album.

Difficult to say. Zeitgeist wasn't a bad album. What makes it difficult for me is the way it is mixed and, unfortunately, all the BS fans had to endure during the "Zeitgeist era".

Oceania may be decently mixed, and some of the songs will certainly be good, but as we know Mike doesn't hold a candle to Jimmy, who breathed a lot of life into the Pumpkins. Billy's voice also got very weak over the past years, and obviously I am expecting more BS from him.
