it doesn't "mean" anything unless you have a tolerance to it, in which case it would start not working more and more. i wouldnt worry about that over one night. although benzos and z-drugs are somewhat cross tolerant so it is possible that ambien tolerance would grow for you faster than those who are benzo naive

damnit.

i've only ever taken it once in college to sleep through a migraine and it knocked me out in minutes. i didnt want to take it but it was my last resort and i thought for sure it'd do the trick.

it's been close to a month since i've gotten more than 4 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period. often less. and it's not sleep so much as dozing. i really don't know what to do.

oh i see. yes it makes sense it didn't work then, because of your tolerance to benzos (which is still there, it takes a long time to go away)

i'd say meditation is the best bet... honestly you should just go to a shrink and ask them for ideas. there are lots of medications for sleep or that have the side effect of somnolence but they all have their own drawbacks of course... ambien is pretty mild on the sedative scale IMO

honestly, i'm not in the market for meds right now. i just dont want to go there. i have some zyprexa and seroquel laying around and i dont want anything to do with it. i'm positive it's from stress from leaving (i could give tons of reasons/evidence but i wont bother). i feel fine. other than insomnia i have no symptoms of mania. i really do feel good. i'm not messing with that.

i'm leaving on tuesday. i'm not going to add to that stress by telling myself there's something wrong with me and i need to find a shrink and make an appointment and get meds and make sure they work before tuesday. no. not happening.

the only reason i have the ambien is because i had my last accupuncture appointment yesterday and he wrote me a script for just a couple so i can maybe get ONE night of sleep before i go.
