Those are some sick beats on the hihat....it's so cool and so clever, making it sound like he's splitting triplets between his feet and hands

this is the version I linked him to. I was at this show and noticed the hi hat thing here and it's been on my mind since. starts at 3:20. this might be the best guitar solo this song has seen
darby 07-26-2015, 10:20 PM yea I know, wrong thread, let's pretend it's the "drummers in SP" thread.

teh b0lly!!1 08-12-2015, 11:56 PM does anybody else fingerdrum Lucky 13 or Rock On every time they're waiting at a counter or a table?
Mals Marola 08-13-2015, 01:42 AM i am one, more likely
Ram27 08-13-2015, 01:49 AM geek usa usually
Mals Marola 08-13-2015, 01:55 AM that time he went from a crash to the snare in an eight of a second in snl, more often than not
Ram27 08-13-2015, 02:12 AM sometimes the brushwork he did on in the arms of sleep live
iPumpkin 08-16-2015, 12:11 AM Usually go for US with the finger tap on a counter. End of Geek USA sometimes too.

topleybird 09-12-2015, 09:54 AM I'll be the first to admit I don't know anything about drumming, but it's really really hard to listen to those and understand how one person with four limbs can be playing them all at the same time, like holy shit
Ram27 12-01-2015, 02:57 PM for anyone interested, Jimmy's signature snare is on eBay for $280
Which is a really good deal, despite it being beat to hell

fuzzyroes 07-10-2018, 03:48 AM One of my favorite JC moments is the outro of TEG... That shits on point.
BurtSampson 07-12-2018, 01:12 PM Yeah the TEG outro is one of the best examples of polyrhythms I’ve ever heard. He’s playing three separate rhythms and I don’t understand it

Ram27 07-14-2018, 10:09 AM i'm so proud to have revitalized this thread
Ram27 07-14-2018, 10:13 AM He likes to do this thing where he plays snare rolls but adds accents on his crash

jimmy drevpile 07-15-2018, 02:47 AM I didn't think that section could get any better. I was wrong. That is killer
Ram27 09-10-2019, 06:45 PM I just set up my kit so I'd have chinas on both the left and right, and lemme say holy fucking fuck that double china hit in Marquis in Spades is the most satisfying thing on the planet to play
