Ridiculous, the office of the president is weak and ineffectual. Governing is hard scotty, everyone knows that.

lol. Order 66, there's a liquidity trap in the making from the credit crisis. Its not a pretty scenario and the only way it can be avoided is if we demand our pols to grow some balls and reign in the banks that are creating it. Being that said bankster elite select who our Presidents are, you best drop the naivete that this two party charade matters at all.

it is sad.

We Amurricanz are in for a big wake up call. We need some heads on pitchforks but those that deserve such a fate want us fighting each other.

I suggest that we go back to the income tax rates that we had in the 1950s until the national debt is paid off. Once that bill is paid and there is no deficit we can go back to taxing hourly workers at twice the rate as the fabulously wealthy. but not a day sooner.

about time too, cause all this socialism is just making people too lazy to die. And there are too many live people around. and illegal aliens too.

1. You obviously don't know the definition of a liquidity trap. (It's in the making? Welcome to 5 years ago, we're deep in it right now)

2. Reign in the banks? That is the complete opposite solution to escaping a liquidity trap. You unplug a liquidity trap via spending, spending, spending. Banks need to stop hoarding cash and lend it out. Banks need to be unleashed (pushed, really), not reigned in. Look up history: Japan's Lost Decade. Or take an economics college class. You have no clue what you are talking about.

Quit using words that you don't actually know what they mean.

regulation is bad until it's a regulation you want. like regulating uteruses or school books or unions or access to voting.

"regulation" is a code word for the right wing. To their adherents it means "I want big business to be able to do whatever they want and I don't want you or anybody else to have a say in it. Please be poor and die now."
