No one wants a book about spirituality from him. It's not like it would be insightful. If he was smart he'd put out a confessions book. People would actually pay for that.

Its for a researcher for the bands history from 1987 onwards apparently...

i don't think it's about remembering dates. i think it's about researching.

Research why people no longer sit around looking at album artwork for hours while they dub CDs to cassette tapes (for listening in the car) on their Sony boombox they got for Christmas from their step-dad.

It's also not just band related. He wants to do some genealogy research. When writing a book that has any kind of autobiographical component you need someone to go through the text and check everything in detail: dates, events, etc. It's not just band related.

Maybe he is writing a second book? The one we actually want to read?

I'm sure this is more akin to anthropological/historical research though. Perhaps he should hire History Detectives to research the great American story of WTF happened to SP between 1995 and 2011 and provide him with an amazing, unexpected revelation at the end?
