a multiple orgasm

Like, an orgasm in an orgasm? Or like, two or more orgasms at the same time?

redbreegull
07-17-2011, 11:37 PM
don't be jealous kids. Although it has been a good day (I also saw Harry Potter), I would hardly call my endeavors Putin-esque, but I will let you know when I kill some journalists or grab some business oligarchs by the nuts

"a multiple orgasm" < "multiple orgasms"

I wasn't sure what the correct what to say it was. It was a "double orgasm" if that makes it more clear. I was afraid that "multiple orgasms" might imply more than one, but disconnected. This was two orgasms with no time in between.

Crack the Whip is a simple outdoor children's game that involves physical coordination, and is usually played in small groups, either on grass or ice. One player, chosen as the "head" of the whip, runs (or skates) around in random directions, with subsequent players holding on to the hand of the previous player. The entire "tail" of the whip moves in those directions, but with much more force toward the end of the tail. The longer the tail, the more the forces act on the last player, and the tighter they have to hold on.

As the game progresses, and more players fall off, some of those who were previously located near the end of the tail and have fallen off can "move up" and be in a more secure position by grabbing onto the tail as it is moving, provided they can get back on before some of the others do. There is no objective to this game other than the enjoyment of the experience.

Today was a good day.

This week at camp was "Steel Chef Week," so we divided the kids into 4 groups and each group made a "restaurant." My group voted on Italian cuisine so first we made a big sign for our restaurant, Pizzario Italiano, and taped it up on the wall. I spent about half an hour cutting out a perfect outline of Italy to put on the sign. It looked nifty. Then we made t-shirts and cooked our food, which was bruschetta, pizza, and cremosas. At the end of the day we were awarded best beverage for the cremosas, by popular vote.

Then I played at an open mic at a Starbucks near my house. I used to play this open mic all the time but then I went away to school so this was my first time in several years. I played really well. Afterwards this high school girl asked me if there was somewhere she could download the song I played, which was an original. I told her no, and she gave me her email address in case I ever record it. lolwut

what have your accomplishments been today netphoria?

since you asked, yesterday i hatched a creepy facebook scheme that seems to be paying off better than expected.

a guy i know from home (a couple hours away) posted on facebook asking who was going to the arcade fire show here in halifax next week. a girl (who i creeped and is cute) 'liked' his status. i took this to mean perhaps she might be going to the show with him. i commented asking if anyone wanted my extra ticket, thinking it could lead to me hanging out with him and perhaps meeting this girl, even though she probably lives a couple hundred miles away.

turns out she lives in halifax, wanted my ticket, and wanted to meet for coffee later that night (last night) to get the ticket. i took a book because she didn't know exactly when she'd get there after work, and she commented that 'gulliver's travels' is often a question on jeopardy. i've essentially watched a years worth of jeopardy episodes in the past few weeks, and that was one of the main reasons i picked up the book. anywho, chatted for a bit and she said that we should hang out at the concert.

tl;dr i'm a creep and jeopardy is the key to my heart.

consulting a book is fine, but cherry-picking a definition is not

Cherry-picking generally implies that one took information out of its original context in order to frame it in a way more conducive to one's argument. I did not engage in this. I found a cited source which agreed with me. I would call this competing academic opinions, but yours isn't even cited.

it's cherry-picking because there are many definitions out there, and you picked one of the loosest instead of the strict definition, namely that a typo is, you know, a typographical error. rather than a spelling error.

Last night I did salvia for the first (and probably last) time. I was at my friend's house (the schizophrenic one who is really awesome, probably the coolest person I know) and he had all these people over who I didn't know, and next thing I know some dude is loading the grav bong with salvia. Needless to say I took an enormous hit. Some guy was like, "That's too much you are about to be fuuuuuuuuuuucked up...." and then everything was crazy.

I felt like my whole body was being contorted involuntarily, into a cube. Everything became polyhedral including the other people in the room. At one point I thought me and my fellow voyagers were different steps in a staircase. There was a lot of pressure on my body but I couldn't really feel anything. I then melted into the floor and wall and lost all sense of depth and space. I was vaguely aware I was on drugs but I couldn't really tell what was going on. I finally figured out that me and everyone else were stuck to the floor and that our bodies were contorting slowly as we rolled across the room. We changed shapes to move over tables, chairs, etc., like pushing play-doh over an imperfect surface. Gravity was all sorts of fucked up. After what I think was about 10 minutes I managed to remove my hand from the wall, though they felt fused together, and stumbled into the next room where I became a triangle. I fell on the ground and began to welcome my new three sided identity, but then I began to come down.

since you asked, yesterday i hatched a creepy facebook scheme that seems to be paying off better than expected.

a guy i know from home (a couple hours away) posted on facebook asking who was going to the arcade fire show here in halifax next week. a girl (who i creeped and is cute) 'liked' his status. i took this to mean perhaps she might be going to the show with him. i commented asking if anyone wanted my extra ticket, thinking it could lead to me hanging out with him and perhaps meeting this girl, even though she probably lives a couple hundred miles away.

turns out she lives in halifax, wanted my ticket, and wanted to meet for coffee later that night (last night) to get the ticket. i took a book because she didn't know exactly when she'd get there after work, and she commented that 'gulliver's travels' is often a question on jeopardy. i've essentially watched a years worth of jeopardy episodes in the past few weeks, and that was one of the main reasons i picked up the book. anywho, chatted for a bit and she said that we should hang out at the concert.

tl;dr i'm a creep and jeopardy is the key to my heart.

so yeah, i went to the concert with her and i think we both had a lovely time. we will be seeing each other again soon. hopefully i don't screw this up. wish me luck, folks!

Agreed. I really dont like them, and I like being around people on them even less.

Drugs can be fun, therapeutic, and perspective-altering, and I generally find it interesting to share experiences, especially with stuff which drastically changes your perceptions. Doing drugs for entertainment or spiritual experience has been part of human culture for perhaps hundreds of thousands of years... there is a theory that early cave paintings featuring unidentifiable and distorted animal shapes are the result of ritualistic/shamanistic induced hallucinogenic states. So in my opinion, there is much to be learned and experienced from altered states of mind.

I think certain drugs can bring something out of you, but it won't necessarily change you. It's easy to see someone that did something amazing or has some great understanding of life, or whatever, and to hear them talk about drug use and draw a parallel between the two. Chances are though they weren't a complete moron to begin with.

This is probably true, but in my experience people who aren't open to very intense, mind altering experiences just have bad trips. I definitely would not recommend hallucinogenic drugs to everyone. There are people who should not take them and probably would not get anything out of them. Again, I am just speaking from personal experience, but the most spiritual experiences of my life have been on drugs. Each time I have done shrooms, I have been left with enduring feelings of openness, positivity, love, harmony, connection, and interdependence with other people and other living things.

I'm just saying that it is just as silly to write off drugs or dismiss people's interest in them (or discussing them) as it is to assume that doing drugs will change you somehow. Drugs can lead to very profound experiences. I wouldn't exactly describe my salvia trip like this, as it was mostly just what the fuck is going on, but I am still glad I did it once and had that experience.

i just did my first real professional photography gig...and it was mother fuckin' arcade fire (i saw them yesterday too, but wasn't shooting.) i was stressing out big time.. and i'm scared to look at the pictures. i've got a bad feeling that they are all shit. :(

As in, headshots or gig photography? I'm sure they will have turned out well. Ing band portraits can either be great fun or totally painful, especially if you don't build up rapport with the artist. Then it can be hell.

Arcade Fire as a first gig though...fuck.

Today I woke up at 8am. Did some more packing. Drove to Honolulu & saw Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows-part 2 with a friend. Went to Liliha Baker/Diner and had a loco moco for the first time and wasn't impressed. On my way hone I was pulled over at an alcohol check point. I was stone cold sober. Wasn't asked if I'd been drinking, just took my info and then told me I could go on my way. Wishing I didn't ship my guitar so soon. I feel lonelier without it.

he probably just got commissioned to take pics of them at some event by an outside media party or local publication or something, i doubt his contract had any direct reference to the band themselves. dont fret kahlo, billy let you use his music on a castle!

today i ordered 1 x kg of loin and fillet of the following:
<img src="http://www.sa-venues.com/wildlife/graphics/gemsbok-01.jpg">
and 1kg of some of these dudes:
<img src="http://images.pictureshunt.com/pics/w/warthog-8933.jpg">

I know that pic is big, but i had to use it cause that dude it looking totally cool.

Those are both delicious meats. nom nom nom.

I also confirmed a booking for a cottage just outside town for the weekend for the lady and I. It's her birthday next week, and I'm surprising her. She has to go into work for a few hours on Saturday, so I've had to stay within about an hour of town, but that still means some awesome options. I'm going to make her delicious gemsbok / oryx or warthog. On one of the nights I've arrange two good friends, another couple, to also stay. We'll have some drinks and a fire and play 30 seconds and shit.
It's going to be nice. There is no TV and hardly any phone reception, and a troupe of baboons also live on the farm we're staying on. Those guys are such dorks! But they will fuck your shit up in so inclined.

We're staying right by Cape Point, which is where the two oceans meet at Africas point:

Today I had lunch with my brother. Poor kid has just gone through his first major breakup at almost 18 - he was with the same girl for nearly 3 years. It really sucks not being able to help him out with a problem for the first time ever.

today i drove up to campus to drop off a cd of all the data for my thesis, which my professor had me put together, and he's not here, so now i'm sitting in my old classroom on netphoria.

Probably. That's why we haven't heard any more. I even cared enough to post enough about it, but he hasn't even had the decency to reply. Bastard.

Oh and where those two oceans meet looks beautiful - it's just a shame it's in S. Africa (a shame because it's so fucking hot and as a consequence i'll probably never go)

this. arcade fire were secret guests. they were billed as shark attack! and even performed under that moniker, presumably due to an exclusivity agreement signed with the promoters of the show they were opening for u2 the next day.

it was pretty neat to see arcade fire play in the middle of the street in my hometown of 5000 people. and get paid to take pictures of them by a national radio station/website.

yeah, i'm just going through my pics from last night then i will share some. i'm not really happy with them, but maybe i'm just hard on myself. for arcade fire i was shooting f/1.4-f/2.0 @ 3200 ISO and still not getting as fast a shutter as i'd like. oh well. also, there's no media pit so i was shooting from a mosh pit, essentially. :)

A nice selection of images - the light in them is pretty good, and good you caught some 'action' shots - I really like this one in particular:

Even though you can see some grain that isn't really a huge issue given that you aren't looking to make prints of them I guess. My only criticism is that many of the shots of Win suffer from 'mic mouth' - where the mic obscures the face, or casts shadows. Sometimes however nothing can be done to rectify this, other than move to a new position or wait for them to lean back etc.

thanks for the tips. ack, that actually looks pretty gross viewed that big. luckily most people will be viewing them at much smaller sizes i think. i never pushed my camera to 3200 iso before this weekend. better than not getting the shots at all, i guess.

probably. It's unsurprising that quite a few people here would do gig photography.

Well it all depends on the client, and sometimes its good to work without the flash given how pissy some bands can be about it. It also helps that you have such a fast lens.
