enjoyed my weekend away, but came back really sick.
My tailbone is fucked and horribly sensitive, even to the touch. Plus, I got flu like symptoms, probably from the freezing cold evenings around the fire outside over the weekend.
So I'm coughing and sneezing and withering around in agony, cause my tailbone is so fucking sore. I cant sit properly, or lay down properly, or bend over or move or walk properly. It's so damn annoying. I'm constantly having to support it when sitting or lying down with funny muscles so i keep pressure off of it, and that combined with my flu symptoms is leaving my body so sore and achy and i'm all clogged up with piercing headaches and feeling pretty miserable.
It's a public holiday and my boss asked me last night at 11:00pm if i can work his shift tonight, saying he's beeing 'trying to get hold of me all weekend to ask' - knowing i went away for the weekend and wouldn't have cell phone signal. Sigh. I really dont think i will manage the shift, but i have said no to his last few requests for me to work for him and i think he's going to get annoyed soon.

Yesterday I went to the Franklin Institute in Philly with my female counterpart. We went to the Mummies of the World exhibit, which is supposedly the largest collection of mummies ever assembled. There were no pictures allowed but I saw some very cool stuff. I had never seen a mummy IRL before, and I found that it was a very different experience from seeing any old skeleton. It was actually sort of weirdly spiritual, putting my face within 6 inches of these faces who had been dead thousands of years. The Egyptian stuff was cool but I found the South American mummies more intriguing... they all had a lot of hair... I found some pictures of a few cool things online:

I live with nonsmokers, and they will bitch about the smell if there's any at all (actually I don't know if that's true but I'm trying to avoid any problems). And leaving the entire pack outside, even shut, will ruin them all.

I was really drunk one night in college- blood alcohol poison drunk- and was puking my guts out. Woke up the next day next to the toilet with crap in my pants.

Yesterday I thought I had a good day tracking a band in the studio, getting a lot done with time to spare but my tutor/producer pulled my leash in a "don't have too much fun" kind of way. Bit of a buzzkill and changed my tune and focus for today. Today, while not disastrous, was difficult to get through and mentally draining as I worked with the artist's vocals. By the end of it my tutor commended me and told that I had made exceptional improvement since the start of the year. I wasn't really expecting that.

I got my toe smashed in a door and now I won't have a nail for 4 or 5 months....
