i'm unemployed. i go to bed usually around 4am, get up at random times past noon and rarely leave my house. it's pretty sweet. this is the first time since i was twelve that i haven't been working full-time every moment that i've not been in school so i don't really feel bad about it.

i'm unemployed.

i got offered full-time employment at the place i was doing my work-term for school. this is pretty much the 'best' job i could expect to get. i didn't want to work for a company that essentially owns atlantic canada, though, and all their work is on warships and whatnot for the dnd. not my thing at all. i politely told them to take the job and shove it.

i've got a line on a job at an engineering consulting firm that is almost literally across the street from my apartment. that would be so awesome if that works out.

why?personally it gives me a reason to be up and mobile right after i wake up, gets my morning routine started and it tastes delicious. i usually drink coffee anyway so why not have a meal with it.

as for the objectively beneficial aspects of breakfast, i can't say. i just love breakfast and grew up eating it every day

weekdays are:

- wake up sometime between 7am-7:25
- shower, put in contacts, put on moisturizer, take pill(s)
- feed the cats
- watch about 10 minutes of the breakfast show sometimes while perusing facebook
- get dressed, wake husband up
- do hair & brush teeth
- chug a huge thing of water, pack lunch, kiss husband goodbye
- leave btwn 8:10-8:15ish, buy a 50c diet coke from the store downstairs then bike to work
- get to work. turn on computer, wait for it to load, log in to needed programs and grab breakfast from the lunchroom (if it's mon, wed or fri)
- start work at 9
- work until it slows down, then apply makeup at desk
- surf celeb gossip & facebook on first break
- 11am back to work
- take lunch 12:30-1:15... unless it's a day i have to cover receptionist's lunch. then i lunch 12-12:45 and cover her from 1-2
- back to work. it's slowed down so lots of messageboarding/twitter/shooting shit w/ coworkers/jezebel/gawker/deadline
- last break. facebook, dlisted, etc
- back to work at 3:30... keep workin til 5
- bike home, unless it's wednesday, in which case i go to yoga til 7:40 (and hopefully come home to dinner!)
- relax a few minutes, drink a big thing of water, make dinner, eat
- the rest of the night, relaxin, hangin out, tv, maybe take a walk, maybe go for ice cream, maybe a drink, maybe a doobie, maybe cleanin, maybe sex? hopefully prepare lunch for the next day
- go to bed sometime between 11:30-1

life is great! some weekdays i may have plans w/ friends after work, or go drinking with my coworker buddies (we work in the same building as a decent pub)
no set routine on weekends but i wake up sometime between 8:30-10. i do things like friend hangouts, goin out for meals, biking, hanging out outdoors, thrifting, grocery shopping, spending qt with the dude

i quit smoking weed while i work on my thesis and look for a job, so these days it looks like this:

-8-9am wake up, organize thoughts and write down things i need to do. either "work out" at home or go outside to kick around the soccer ball
-9-10am make and eat breakfast, shower and get dressed
-10am-5pm out of house to use internet, basically hopping between the three or four places within walking distance where i can get online for free. alternate between wasting time online and doing work on my thesis
-5-6ish pm go home and eat, loaf around for a bit
-for the rest of the night i generally feel guilty for not getting as much work done as i had hoped to, watch a movie and fall asleep

i'm grilling pork tenderloin and asparagus, and just noticed that my neighbour whose open patio door is like eight feet from mine can totally hear my blaring music. i hope he likes joy division. i turned it down, regardless.

Do you really pray?

born into god-fearing latino catholic brood, praying to fat baby jesus is a notion we comprehend the mintute we see the man in the white coat.

Actually, I don't really pray. Meditation I find more comprehensive.
"praying to baby jesus" is my way of saying that I cope with feelings of dread and doom every day. I really dgaf whether I die or live, lol.
