View Full Version : caramel frappuccino / Spring Break appreciation thread
Catherine Wheel 04-15-2011, 09:59 AM My first day of Spring Break and I start things off with a leisurely stroll down to CVS for some blank cds and then the local Safeway Starbucks for a caramel frapuccino.
Anybody else here on Spring Break?
samuel redman 04-15-2011, 10:00 AM what do you look like
Trotskilicious 04-15-2011, 10:01 AM spring break was weeks ago

Catherine Wheel 04-15-2011, 10:03 AM I'm a working adult too. The middle school that I work at just let out for Spring Break.
redbreegull 04-15-2011, 10:07 AM Predicted answer from Trots/Nimrod's Son: teaching is not a real profession, it is a place where cowards hide in the realm of academics to avoid going into the real world
Trotskilicious 04-15-2011, 10:12 AM all i said was that i don't get one because i have a professional 9-5 job, you are unbelievably insecure redbreegull

Trotskilicious 04-15-2011, 10:14 AM on spring break i took some PTO and went out to SXSW and caught Dum Dum Girls (guh...) and J. Mascis

FoolofaTook 04-16-2011, 01:01 AM lol @ drinking starbucks coffee. did you follow that up with a hearty mcdonald's meal?
Catherine Wheel 04-16-2011, 01:12 AM What do you have against Starbucks?
SlingeroGuitaro 04-16-2011, 01:16 AM It tastes just like raisins
FoolofaTook 04-16-2011, 01:26 AM What do you have against Starbucks?
troll harder
Catherine Wheel 04-16-2011, 01:30 AM Who's trolling? I just want to know why you scoffed at me drinking Starbucks.
FoolofaTook 04-16-2011, 01:35 AM have you ever had real coffee?
Sarcastic Smile 04-16-2011, 01:37 AM I'm trying to ween myself off being a slave to $5 coffee drinks. Aside from the obvious waste of money... way too high in sugar, probably cancels out and entire hour of running, even the "non-fat" ones. And caffeine/ circulation, blah blah.. I can't really think of any benefits besides the fact that they are a tastey security blanket when I'm studying
I don't go to starbucks.. there is a really neat nice coffee shop near my house, but they are just as expensive
ilikeplanets 04-16-2011, 01:38 AM My bring break is very much over, but my 3 week break between spring and summer classes begins May 10, which is close. And I don't like starbucks coffee....too expensive and sugary. Chai tea is good, though. :)
FoolofaTook 04-16-2011, 01:43 AM drinking good coffee made by a maestro like sonic johnny is like getting a rim job.
once you've been there, there's no going back.
Catherine Wheel 04-16-2011, 01:44 AM I don't go to Starbucks often or even drink coffee that often. This is a treat. When I was drinking coffee more often I would usually go to Mcdonalds for it.
Trotskilicious 04-16-2011, 02:02 AM and thus why starbucks is impressive
Eulogy 04-16-2011, 07:33 AM guys if the dude is getting a caramel frappuccino i don't really think the quality of the coffee that gets put into it is a huge deal or would even be noticeable
but CW you should try to find a local place around you. i have one that's a bit cheaper and the people are friendlier.
FoolofaTook 04-16-2011, 10:13 AM could we please talk about rim jobs? thank you.
