Not recent graves or anything like that, because that's just fucked up.

But my buddies family has a ton of farm land out near Pittsburgh. On this land there is this really really old cemetery, if you even want to call it that. Just maybe 12 or so really old graves, with nature growing all over it. You really have to look for it to find it. It's easily full of graves from sometime in the 1800's. The next time we all go out there I really want to dig up a few graves and go through the caskets seeing what we can find. Maybe some really valuable old jewelry or other cool shit. Lay in the casket with a skeleton for a cool picture or something, I don't know.

I was talking to one of my friends about it tonight and he thinks it would be wrong. I don't really get that viewpoint since the graves are so old. Any relatives of these people are long gone.

So what do you guys think about digging up old graves and going through them?

Where near Pittsburgh?

It's about 45 minutes to an hour out from what I remember.

Out in the middle of god damn no where though. Really cool bit of land though, I haven't been out there in years. But when my buddy gets back from South Africa in a month I'm going to make sure of it that we all go out to his farm one weekend. And we are digging up at least one of those graves.

I don't think there is anything morally wrong with this, you aren't hurting any living people. You should donate anything interesting you find though, it would be reprehensible if you are intending on grave robbing for profit.

I have no idea where. Mountain hilly type area. 45-60 minutes east of Pittsburgh, maybe north, maybe south, I don't really know.

If I find anything of historic significance you gotta pretty much turn it over or keep it in one of our families secretly passing it down from generation to generation. But it would mostly be for profit as well as the rush of digging up a grave. I mean if we can find some shit in there that brings us a couple grand or better, then that is awesome.

I'm also not sure on the legality of it all even though it is on his property. So I don't think we can stroll around donating any interesting finds to some museums or anything of that sort.

Every time I wonder whether or not he's trolling all I have to do is look at his goofy avatar and I become very certain.
