I was a hug fan of battlestar, but that ended a while back. I never really got into Caprica, and I heard it's been canceled.

Lately I've been into True Blood and Boardwalk Empire. I've been meaning to watch that Shameless show with William h. Macy, but just haven't been able to catch it. (no dvr :/) Game of Thrones comes out soon and it looks awesome. I've downloaded the first book but haven't started it yet.

And I watch entirely too much Adult Swim.

Suggest some new shows for me.

if I was the leader of that show i would have made three seasons with ten episodes each and had the main thing been that the cylons wanted to know the position of earth so they could wipe out all of humanity once and for all. the only problem would have been that it was a closely guarder secret so they had to get it out of the president by forcing battlestar galactica to flee to earth in order to survive. this would have explain all the bombings of water reservoirs and stuff in the first season. adama would have been a cylon in my mind.

Season two was kind of lame though. Black market. *ahem*

The finale for season 3 was EPIC.

But yeah, I totally see where you're coming from, and Cavil just wanting to punish them was kind of stupid. And them all winding up on the same bs was just too convenient. I was so invested in the characters and story though I didn't really care.
However, the series finale was pretty lame. Nevertheless, I stlil <3 bsg.

Archer (NEW SEASON STARTED LAST THURSDAY. NEW ONE TONIGHT. YESSSS.)

I also watched season 1 of Breaking Bad, which was awesome. So I'll be Netflixing the rest of that, and eventually I want to get around to watching the West Wing.

Well, I love cheesy television. There are cheesy parts, definitely, but for an ABC Family show, it's pretty well done. The mystery hasn't lost steam, and they do a good job of answering small questions while leaving you with a million more. There is some unintentional comedy, but it's not like Secret Life, where the hilarity and ridiculousness aren't enough to keep you coming back.

Anyone a fan of Father Ted? Just started watching series one again, and it's still brilliant.

They visited the house, and spent a week on the Arran Islands (where the intro sequence is shot etc). Not sure if they dressed up as Father Jack and Mrs Doyle though.

How is it too many? All of them except for Mad Men and Breaking Bad I've just watched since they started on TV and watch them when they air. Mad Men and Breaking Bad are the only ones that I'm catching up on with Netflix.

At the moment I'm watching some porn.
It's a FFM 3some setup.
I feel pretty bad cause this dude like lays the one lady down on her back, and the other sorta alligns herself next to the first one. He goes down on lady number one for like 20 seconds and then moves on to lady 2 and he's just been munching away for ages. I feel pretty bad for lady number 1. She's looking a bit disappointed, but making the effort to get involved all the same.

barden
02-06-2011, 04:59 PM
phew, dont worry guys he went back to lady 1.

barden
02-06-2011, 05:00 PM
for like another 20 seconds what the fuck?
Man this guy is a dick.
Now lady 2 is looking over at lady 1 like she feels kinda bad about the situation herself.

God, this is why I cant enjoy porn.

I hope he makes up for all this soon.

barden
02-06-2011, 05:03 PM
funny you say that.
I've basically being given the green light (and recruitment responsibility) from my lady, which is why I consider this 'research' but I think it'll just be awkward and weird. I'm intimidated and think I will not carry through with it, even though now it's considered an 'option'.
Maybe if all the lights are out.

nah, fuck this shit.
I dont want to break any hearts with my choice of felatio.

If watching 3some porn is complicated for me as it is, I can only imagine the actual act is going to mess me up.

02-14-2011, 12:41 AM
Anyone watch...Torchwood?

I watched the first 2 series and then the Children of Earth miniseries.

Is there anything beyond that? We get everything on such an incredible delay here, there's just no telling. I guess I could look for it online, but I'd be afraid I'd be spoilered (just like what happened with Ashes to Ashes. They've only aired series 1 and 2 here. I hope they plan to air the 3rd/final one here this summer)

Anyway.

Some of our shoes are terribly embarrassing, and don't worry, I do feel appropriate shame.

-Grey's Anatomy (started watching when it first started and just haven't stopped...)
-Bones (same)
-Californication
-House
-Big Bang Theory
-Being Human (NOT the shitty SyFy version; series 3 starts here on Saturday)
-Doctor Who
-Weeds
-Criminal Minds
-Top Gear (again, NOT the shitty US version)
-Destination Truth

That's all I can think of right now.. I'm sure there's more. We watch episodes of Inside the Actor's Studio when we're interested in the guest.. I catch Conan when I can.. I've seen all of Torchwood that's aired here, same with Ashes to Ashes (series 1 and 2).

Criminal Minds is surprisingly well-written. You know, for a CBS crime show.

i dunno it still gets all crazy with the constant psycho killers. i know most mystery shows are like this, how come so many high profile cases come out of one pair of detectives (L&O), or how the new guy to the small town is always the killer (Murder She Wrote), or how Oxford seems to have some kind of grisly problem with constant murders involving faculty* (Inspector Morse/Lewis) but I think it becomes even more glaring when it's psycho killers on a rampage weekly.

The psych specialist on CI is pretty good though.

*seriously, if people got killed at Oxford as often as they do on Morse, nobody would fucking go there.

Mo
02-14-2011, 04:44 AM
Sure, but that's kind of the premise of the whole show, isn't it? Psycho killers are sort of their thing.

The only shows I make a point to watch or find online if I have missed them:

Archer
30 Rock
The Office (I am only tuning back in to see how they write out Steve Carrell)
Community
Parks and Recreation
Fringe

Will watch if I am home with nothing better to do:
Law & Order: SVU (for the unintentional hilarity / cheesiness)
House
Bones
Glee
Modern Family

When it comes back, I will watch it again:
Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead
Law & Order: CI (mainly for chubby, stubbly Vincent D'Onofrio)

-Californication

No that's it. The upcoming 3rd season is supposed to be darker than the previous ones. Also it's being co-produced by an American company so that means it might be airing in America w/out a delay. I made it through 5 eps and just couldn't get hooked at all. There's not enough backstory involvement and I really dislike all of the characters.

I love Californication to death. The MCIS reference in the last episode (last week's - not this ones) was kinda cool. The funniest moment in the show was definitely Charlie getting a butterfly tramp stamp.

I can understand somebody not liking CI. I have a soft spot for D'Onofrio and in general I find CI less one-note than SVU. They both take like half their episodes from the headlines anymore, which is really annoying, but SVU is just ridiculous about it. Also, they have Det. Munch from Homicide and totally turned him into somebody who says something funny / paranoid once an episode and disappears. They are both sort of predicatable anymore but at their peak, I think CI was much better. I think D'Onofrio created a more interesting character than Taking Things Personally! Benson or Anger-Issues Stabler.

Did I already mention the D'Onofrio thing? :o

That being said, when marathons of either are on I get sucked in pretty easily. With SVU, it is mainly to yell at the television about how ridiculous it is.

Yeah, it's certainly not my favorite, but I'll watch it. I wiki'd it after I posted that and saw some of the credits for the next season... and it's filmed and set in mostly LA. Which makes me want to vom.

not yet but i just started the download. another thing that blew my mind was learning that Smurf Runkle (Marcy) was the lady that does Bobby Hill's voice. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch King of the Hill again w/out thinking of FUCK ME RICK SPRINGFIELD! or rape fantasies.

David Duchovny's character, when asked by his agent, refers to his life or situation as a tale of mellon collie and infinite sadness. Something like that. Not too subtle or anything.
