In a lot of ways it sounds reminiscent of some of the better TFE tracks (MOH, Camera Eye, Walking Shade), only less shoegaze-y. I like this a heck of a lot.

Wow, I've never even seen any of the videos they made for that record! When it came out, it wasn't even released in the US, so I had to dl it from the old Pitchfork ftp... A few years later, I had to spend $30 just to import it in.

The synth part is super annoying in "The Fellowship" and the very simular synth part on the muse track is annoying as well. Could we all please stop using that "instrument".

Sorry, not hearing it at all. Other than the sequenced synth intro, there are no parallels to draw here. I went to two SITS shows last year, stood a few feet away from Billy while he played The Fellowship and if anything, the chords and structure are very TFE-like. The Fellowship seems like a perfect blend of TFE, Eye, with some of the heaviness of Machina thrown in (Wound/I of The Mourning). Can't quite place my finger on it, and I think that's why it sounds so fresh/great.

Muse is so fucking dramatic (and it doesn't feel genuine at all). Is all their music like that?
