I just received a copy of "Sailor" yesterday. I bought it late because for the longest time, everywhere I looked online was selling it for like $40 or more, which is practically theft for what amounts to a glorified EP. I found a copy through a great local music shop for under $25. Anyway, I couldn't believe the lack of information. Not even a two-page credit sheet? You would have thought there would be at least an insert book. Even the disc itself is devoid of any identification. The artwork on the flimsy CD sleeve is cool. I know the "Sailor" songs, so I pretty much went straight for the 7". The bonus track on the seven inch at first tweaked me out, because I forgot to set my player at 45 rpm. I thought that bonus track was fuckin' killer, and that it should have been released as a download as well. And finally the obelisk, the thing everyone here loves to shove up their asses, apparently... where to begin? I think it's a cool little conversation piece, if you're going to have a one minute conversation with someone. Or maybe there's a philosophical idea behind the object. Maybe it holds an energy of some kind that bakes your mind...

I don't even think the obelisk would make that good of a convo piece:

"Hey what's that thing?"
"Oh it's this obelisk thing that came with a CD"
"What's it for"
"Nothing"
"Oh..."

Yeah, the art on the box cover might be of more interest than the obelisk.

I think there's still some debate as to whether it should be played at 33 or 45, no?

Also, it's spelled douche.

It actually doesn't sound bad at 33.

I thought I'd spell in German to throw a curveball.

Haha, well, I figured I'd smarten up a bit and satisfy those who'd like to see the standard D-O-U-C-H-E.
