Individually dissecting each song as it's released leads to the opinion that the songs all suck.
But recently I've given it a few listens in order starting from the Teargarden Theme all the way to Freak and so far it's holding up nicely as a decent little album in progress.
I'm sure if it ever actually gets complete with 44 songs that it will end up being one of the better music accomplishments in Corgan's career. It's not the Smashing Pumpkins but what it is it really isn't that bad as a whole.

If he ever finishes it, he sure has time enough to write a handful of really good songs and maybe establish and develop his new band.

nah bro, it's pretty bad so far. Teargarden Theme and Freak are the only ones that reach the level of mediocre. The others are all pretty bad, and that is a shame because Song for a Son could have been the best one if it hadn't been produced like shit.

Nothing wrong with the production of Song for a Son, it's the best song on the album.
