The best items are 3-humbucker yellow SG (it seems the one he has used for "Cherub Rock" video, "Vieuphoria"), Rickenbacker ("TT" MTV VMA 1996), and that black downtuned SG with open pick-ups. I wish I was in US now.

Wow, awesome find. Sad to see him sell all that gear though.

Yeah, I wonder why's the decision. Seems like he completely dropped the nostalgia factor.

Or the royalties from Let It Come Down just ain't enough now-a-days?

I'm waiting for that custom guitar with the built-in ebow Fernandez made him...

After 20 odd years of being a professional musician, I imagine he's got loads of guitars and is just clearing a bit of space

I'd pay ~300-400 for one of her guitars tbh. But they're almost all over that price range so I'm out. :(

I kinda want that Marshall amp.

Are there pics of James playing any of the guitars other than the ones russian iha posted?

Crabb, I have that same model of Marshall. What kind of music would you want to use it for? It's pretty loose in the low end. Great for dirty rock stuff, but shit hopeless for metal without jumping through all sorts of hoops. Open back 1x12" as well, so the bass response isn't really there.

I mostly just play Pumpkins and 90s rock for myself in the bedroom. The amp i have is shitty and partially broken.

We should make a band man, I do the same thing
I don't even bother with my practice amp anymore though, I play directly through my computer (in Garage Band) with headphones, if you crank up Fuzz + Sustain pedals in GarageBand, you get a surprising good 90s rock/SD effect.

james iha has already made enough money with these guitars to buy himself one lunch with billy corgan.

and there are three days left. maybe he'll be able to buy a lunch and a half, or even two.

I got up early to watch them close this morning. I was considering going for the black SG, but it shot up to $970+$100 shipping in the final minute, and I didn't want it quite that badly. I'll bet Bill played the Yellow SG on The Search For The Yeti.

Those guitars were probably cursed anyway. I bet there's some ancient Japanese suck-forever-at-everything-you-do curse on all of those guitars.
