pretty much anyone that still posts here and lives in your area that could drive you to Houston are the type of people you don't want to be stuck in a car with for 4 hours...

sorry Kate, but this is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Even if you do think it's such a hassle, a free plane trip to get a new car is worth it.
I wish I got to fly for free.

Seriously. Passing up a free plane trip is a hassle? You're going there to pick up a car you bought, it's not like you're going to have a ton of luggage or something.

How do you get free air travel? Your dad a pilot or something?

this is how it ends when someone has an urgent need to inform everyone she's getting a new car and cannot make a normal thread about it.

I don't give a shit about a new car, however I also would like to be enlightened how flying free and saving time and is a hassle.

Since when is saving 2 hours a hassle?

When you're wasting those 2 hours in an airport instead of being on the road and moving somewhere.

this is fucked up. The booted woman, who has all reasons to be pissed off, prefers to stay in anonymity because 'some may regard her as insensitive', while Southwest was apparently doing all they could to 'reduce embarrassment for the late-arriving (fat) passenger'.

this is actually sort of good news for murgle, no? Take Southwest - when you don't fit, they will kick out and even berate the poor guy next to you, not you!

Why the extra concern? The person requiring two seats was just 14 years old.
