i always thought that posters like you, Sean Casey, Deviousj were what made Netphoria what it was. and of course a lot more, but there was this core that I couldn't imagine Netphoria doing without. I also couldn't imagine them ever leaving. but it happened and they also haven't been replaced by other quality posters. It's the end!

The only problem I see with the messageboard these days is lack of effort on the part of ownership to do anything with it. There are a few things that could still be done to stop the suffering. The first thing that needs to happen is that the general boards need to be spun off as a separate website, preferably with the Netphoria.org name, to someone or a group of people with some cash and enthusiasm. Then Pakula can focus his lack of effort on just the SP portion of the website\MB and rename it something else.

After that, the new owners would be able to work on increasing exposure for the website through online\print advertising and social media infusion. Once that's done, they need to focus on keeping or bringing back as many of the original members as possible, either through financial incentives or otherwise, to establish its credibility.

Netphoria is also missing a good rivalry, everyone who posts here now is pretty vanilla.

I've offered Pakula a good sum of money in the past for the entire website, but he only knows one word...NO. He doesn't even seem interested in selling off the general boards or the name. He's a horrible businessman but he is pretty decent at soliciting, since he can get people to give him money via his half-price Christmas subscription spiel. If I could ever buy him out, I would probably hire him as a marketing specialist.

just as a matter of record, has the board ever been this dead before? its the worst ive ever seen it.
at other times the quality would dip due to a lot of idiots gaining a critical mass, but the problem now is inactivity, which is a way bigger problem. theres probably some tipping point when even the few die-hards will jump ship.
then again its those idiots that probably caused the exodus of regulars in the first place.

The simple problem with the board is this. There are just a bunch of 20 something punks posting in here. More interested in posting their dicks to other men, laughing at cats being kicked, and posting high post counts. Coffee makers and fast food handlers. It is impossible to carry on any intelligent conversation with anyone in here (save Nile) So, with that being very simple, any one with any sort of intellect who comes in here and is new....looks at the board, reads, and leaves. One or 2 will stay around to fuck with the simple minds for fun (wonder's who the 2 are) The rest of you stay because you have no where else to go. So the motive might be just to purge. Secrets can eat people up and that would be the main reason why I would go into some detail of events (started 10 years ago, culminated in '06 when Billy was texting Fysche whilst in the middle of the most important recording sessions our band ever had). I personally didn't give a shit, but did wonder why Billy was all of a sudden interested enough in Fysche to be wanting to see her again...the timing was a bit odd.


the other motive would be to see if Billy would indeed play along to ultimately reveal that psychic power I believe he really does possess. Strong Remote Viewer, Billy. I'll give him that and suspect he's as talented a clairvoyant as he is a musician. This might be his big secret (for my money it is) and I wouldn't blink on revealing my experience with him on this level and let the chips fall where they may.

It would just take some time as well as me wanting to deal with the inevitable cynicism (which I'm used to by now).

And I won't start until I'm ready to take it all the way (meaning ruffling Billy's feathers once again).
