Nick – I reviewed your Web site and it is good. The overall design is very well done – I like the logo and navigation buttons at the top, the color choices are well done, and the font selections (Helvetica, Arial) are easy to read. I do think you could have added some cellpadding to the main text because it bumps right up against the borders of the table – a little white space here would go a long way. And the misspellings in the heading detract from the overall quality of the page – you should have fixed this obvious error. The images are attractive, and you cited their sources if they were not your own. However, every image is a hyperlink, which is an inefficient and risky way to publish your images. First, it forces a call to another website for the viewer, and second, if the imageshack website goes offline or moves or is busy your images won’t appear. It’s generally better to store the images on the Web server that you are publishing to. (I saw your comment, but it’s not YOUR bandwidth that is being used for the images). The theme is good and the content (apart from the misspellings) is fine.
The design is less strong towards the bottom of the page. You have a huge empty white space which looks like an error. Then follows the table which looks very elementary – no fonts, no colors, no alignment, etc. Would have been better if you had centered this table and applied at least some elementary formatting to it – I’m not even sure you know how to do this because this table is so plain as is. Overall a good job on this… 27 out of 30, less a 3 point deduction for late submittal. Final score is 24.
