there is a part of its daily walk where i let it off the leash because the path is narrow and there's nowhere interesting for it to go, and today about halfway along this stretch it dove into the bushes with a lot of barking and starting shaking something violently around. it took me a split second to realize it was killing something but by then i figured the damage was irreversible so i let it finish up.

it broke the cats back but didnt kill it so i decided to put the thing out of its misery by standing on its neck. after like a minute and a half of that a cockroach crawled across my shoe and i abandoned my efforts in disgust. the cat had huge curled yellow claws and apparently already had a swarm of flies and a cockroach on standby waiting for it to get killed

in retrospect i probably should have just flung it into the 2" deep water in the bayou we were next to. now it's gonna be there tomorrow :unhappy:

so sad that the cat died :(

the path on which i take it is along this bayou that runs past first an elementary school then some businesses and a cemetery, and in the last few weeks it seems like the whole city has discovered that the first part by the school is a good place to take your dog to shit. so now this small patch of grass bordered by some apartments, a school and a pocket park is studded with dog shit. if i were one of the mexicans trying to raise kids in the immediate vicinity i would be outraged

one of my dogs is really really sweet but she loves to kill things. she killed a bird and put it on my parents bed once. the other day she killed a baby rabbit.

my cat got into a rabbit nest in our yard and killed all the babies when i was 3 or 4, I was really upset
