not looking to "improve" my living standards, per say. it's not always about a bigger apartment or a dishwasher. i'm looking to live in interesting fun places before i die, basically. and with my genes, i'm looking at about 30-35 life expectancy...so i gotta get moving.

saving money, yes, it's quite easy. i save 1000-1500 USD a month in korea, and contribute to pension and get severance bonuses every year, blahdy blah. but then i dip into that for travel opportunities.

it's kinda counter-intuitive, but moving around the world teaching is quite a stable gig. and i work for real, accredited international schools, not Mr. Kim's English Learning Fun Times Zone. so it's a career building move, not a "i was bored after art school" thing. oh and i get to travel a lot and see things most Americans don't get to.

so, yeah. yippy.
