A People's History of the United States was brilliant

I think everyone in America should read it, since the only source they usually get are history textbooks which are horribly bland, uninteresting and often factually wrong. While a People's History certainly isn't perfect it will definitely open people's eyes up that controversy does indeed exist in history, and that history is fascinating.

A People's History of the United States was brilliant

finding first person sources and publishing them in an anthology is not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah, but it wasn't just that, was it t-lish? And anyway, I like reading first person sources. I do it everyday. Its cool. Its chill.

I don't know though, it has been a while since I read it.

yah actually that's all it amounts to, he's an editor that put together a collection of primary sources and is called a genius

i'm not saying it's not valuable or of poor quality i just think the amount of praise it gets is a bit over the top.

Oh right. Well, if he is called a genius then I completely agree with you. I suppose there are a lot of "scientific socialists" who have read some mad radical books and decide it is a work of genius.
