I wanted to ask pale_princess questions about foundation and powder because I have never used it before and would like to. From what I can tell she is cool and I am a warm but I think we can make it work

well what are your questions?

What are some good foundations and powders, pale_princess? I do not want much coverage. I guess I want concealer because I want to hide some circles I have under my eyes

I'm not pale_princess, but I will say that Bare Minerals is the shit. It's so natural, you can sleep in it and it won't clog your pores and make you break out. It's actually improved my skin since I started using it. It gives great coverage while still looking nice. A bit pricey, but totally worth it.

Sure... mine goes between oily and dry depending on the weather, and it's great either way.

I use clinique moisturizer already and I really like it

I don't want to use bareminerals either because I will think of the commercials every time I look at my desk and I can't live with that

a tinted moisturizer? if so then why do you want a foundation?

ohnoitsbonnie
11-10-2009, 07:38 PM
No a regular one. Because I want to hide some things on my face

null123
11-10-2009, 07:41 PM
well I was suggesting a tinted moisturizer, not a regular one. don't use Studio Fix, it's dry and heavy

I know you were Rache but I really like my current one. I'm just gonna get something with nice reviews attached to it from sephora

i was hoping this was about making up to someone you wronged.

i would make up to so many people. i would give them a soft massage and then invite them to wear my satin robe made for two. i'd love to give a little hand action, whether that be a finger banging or firm gripped jerk off.

i love to make up with people. it makes me feel human.

Are you wanting to wear foundation because your skintone is uneven and or splotchy? You can always wear just the right amount of concealer with some good powder and that'll do the trick.
If you feel like you do need foundation, you really don't have to spend extra money on 'fancy' make up brands. A lot of the drugstore is great for a good price. Its all about finding the right shade.
I've used different foundations that have had spf, acne fighting power(or whatever the hell you call it), and moisturizer.
Also, you can look up makeup tutorials on youtube. If you like the way something looks, you'll be able to see what bands their using. That could give you an idea of which products you need for what you're wanting.

my best friend in high school (the chick i posted a thread about a while back who did porn) used to wear this orange-y colored foundation.

there was always a line at her jaw separating her orange makeup face from her neck

it was weird :unhappy:

currently I'm using..
maybelline mineral power: Maybelline New York: Products: Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Powder Foundation (http://www.maybelline.com/product/face/foundation/mineral-power-natural-perfecting-powder-foundation.htm)
almay smart shade smart balance foundation: ALMAY smart shade smart balance? makeup (http://www.almay.com/Pg/Main/CatProdDet.aspx?catid=31&catnm=Face&subid=233&subnm=Foundation&prd=29460&osubnm=Foundation)
covergirl fresh complexion concealer: Fresh Complexion Under Eye Concealer :: COVERGIRL (http://www.covergirl.com/products/product.jsp?productId=fresh_under_eye_concealer)

most of the time I'll just use concealer to even out red areas and under my eyes, and then I'll put on a bit of powder.
the smart shade stuff is kind of cool. the light shade works for me, but I haven't really heard from anyone else if it actually does match most peoples skin tones. if you put too much in a concentrated area, it's going to look funky. but if you put it on thinly it works great.
I've noticed that wallgreens has been having a lot of great sales in their makeup department. I got my foundation buy one get one free, and most of their other foundations were buy one get one 50% off.

I'm not sure if this is the exact one I used before, but I've used a neutrogena skin clearing foundation before. I liked it, and it actually did seem to help a bit keeping my skin in better condition as far as acne goes.
women's Neutrogena SkinClearingŪ oil-free compact foundation - Neutrogena (http://www.neutrogena.com/econsumer/ntg/productdetail.browse?segment=women&catId=2&subCatId=8&productId=3&target=/products/cosmetics/skin-clearing-oil-free-compact.jsp)

concealer is concealer. it generally doesn't matter as long as you match it properly. a little concealer in the right place goes a long way.

I tried this laura mercier tinted moisturizer in nude Laura Mercier - Flawless Face - Tinted Moisturizer - www.lauramercier.com (http://www.lauramercier.com/products/flawless_face/products/tinted_moisturizer/tinted_moisturizer/) but I think it makes me look too much like I am made of plastic. I wiped a lot of it off and it looked much better but I don't want to have to do that to get the coverage I want. Also it's a tad too yellow and I don't appreciate that. I also tried Sephora: Dior Dior Addict Lip Glow: Lip Treatments (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P236816&categoryId=C106) and I enjoy it a lot. It turned a light bubblegum pink on my lips and I'll be using it sparingly with my regular chapstick.
