Hello. So what's happened to SP over the last three years? I've been really out of touch. They got back together and put out a mediocre album? Then Jimmy split?

Pretty much. And the B Monster is in some new-age bullshit hippie sect now. Fun times in Pumpkinland.

Hmmm... Honestly, I'd rather just remember the band circa 1994. Seriously. I never told anyone this, but I thought the "zero shirt" was pretty gay, and it just got worse with the whole "goth" look circa Adore. And then it was absolutely silly by Machina. It's like your grandfather dying of cancer: remember him not as a whithered dying man, but young and healthy. Well, I will remember the acid-rocker Corgan rather than the vampire-Corgan or the spaceman-Corgan.

You shouldn't have kept that revelation to yourself for so long. Seriously.

I like the cancer death analogy, though.

Well, it's true... I remember seeing the band in the pic in Pisces Iscariot and thinking "These guys just look awesome!" And then I'd see the zero shirt in every public performance and was like "Um, ok..." Then I saw the Ava Adore video and was like "What the fuck happened to him?" And then the whole Machina era he looked like a monsterous leather chess piece.

The irony is that I did have a Zero shirt myself in high school. But I can say I was the first to have one (I believe I got it at the 1996 show in Minneapolis), and I had every SP shirt made from 1994-1998.

EDIT: No,wait... Must have got it in late 1995. I remember going to that show and seeing a SEA of Zero shirts, and I was NOT a part of that. I remember retiring my zero shirt because A) I realized "Hey this is gay" and B) EVERYONE ELSE had a zero shirt. So my "Infinite Sadness Tour" was my main axe.

Sup A, u still talk to mason

HEY! What'sup?!

I had like a 3-hour conversation with him last week and a handful of emails. I'm sure I'll be seeing him soon... I invited him to lay some guitar tracks down for The Curiously Strong Peppermints and we agreed his band(s) should play with us too.

Does he still post here?

I've seen mason play with his new band. It was by accident.
