Hi, I haven't posted here in a long while (if you remember me, hi), but yeah- I'm going to Chicago for a long weekend, and I want to try to see some of the places out there relevant to Pumpkins history... the Metro, Chicago Recording Company, etc. Does anybody have any suggestions (or even addresses) of other stuff out there that would be good to check out? Thanks in advance if anybody's got any ideas.

Um... the baseball stadium?

In one of the documentaries billy was pointing out the apartment where he wrote most of gish, I don't know if you could find it though.
Someone must have the address for his old victorian house, too. Since you're not stalking I don't think it would be a problem to take a picture.

Metro: 3737 N. Clark St.

Chicago Recording Company: 232 E. Ohio St.

Double Door: 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Avalon Niteclub: (doesn't exist anymore..but might be interesting to see) 959 W. Belmont Ave.

parking garage (pumpkin's old practice space/where most of SD was written): 2848 N. Broadway

As for his former house... it's supposed to be on Greenview ave. somewhere..at least that's what i've heard.

Hey, I just wanted to thank everybody who posted information. I went around standing outside of clubs and freaking out parking garage attendants and generally had a lovely time.

It was listed for over a million, just like any other house on that block.
