Tracks by Roscoe Holcomb, Buell Kazee, BF Shelton, Grayson & Whittier, Clarence Ashley, Dock Boggs, Pete Steel, John Hammond, and Creech Holler. The basic murder ballads of the early 20th century. And I threw in 2 Creech Hollow tracks (yes they are modern) but they play classical-enough arrangements. Sooooo.... If the interest is high enough I've got a part 2 of compiled historic murder ballads from the guy's point of view: Tom Dooley, Frankie..., Willie..., Daniel..., Raymond..., etc. IF I'VE MISSED ANYTHING OBVIOUS PLEASE CONTRIBUTE!
