Let me know if you rethink this.

s six d's

oh wait you said.......you can make like $250 a month selling plasma, how quickly do you need this cash? and without knowing what the money is for i have no way of telling to what depravity you will do to get it.

eh, it's for a painting that a girl I works with did. 6 months ago she was totally against selling it, especially for $300 (that's about 1/2 the price she normally charges for that size painting).

then i got a text today with a one-time offer of $300.

but it's cool. Once I get my raise and stuff I can just have her paint me another one in 6 months when she gets another break from school.

what is the painting of

it's just shapes and such (kind of bubbly shapes), but its colors are really gorgeous. I love this girl's style. We're currently featuring 6 of her pieces on a wall at my store.

what if i buy it for myself and send you a photo

murgle

then that would suck.

I also don't think it would fit in with your all-white modern decor.

oh. hmm. well then i won't do it

it's the one on the left, fyi.

this isn't the display that's up in our store right now, this was up during december. we rotate out local artists (the only other one that ever shows any interest just takes black and white photos and edits them in photoshop until they're unrecognizable, and he wants 50000x more than what they're worth.)

the Tree on the far right sold at a charity auction for $425, the large-ish one in the middle bottom sold to a regular customer for $400, and she's selling one that's the size of one of the top ones (different design/colors) for $350.

and y'all can tell me it's ugly all you want, I love it.

the only things I could sell to add up to $300 are a bunch of my college textbooks, but I would literally have to sell all the ones that I like, and would have to get top dollar for them, which the book store HATES to do.

ah well.

Why the hell would you buy a car that depletes your savings?

What a terrible situation to be in, not having 300 bucks on standby.

I have $300. I just don't want to take that much more out of the cushion in my account. So I want $300 extra, really.

How much of a cushion do you have in your account murgle? I think we'd all like a thorough summation of your financial situation.

I like the painting. ask her if you can pay her in installments, and not receive the painting until it's fully paid.... hah

When did you go to college? I would imagine they have come out with new editions and yours are worth much less.. That's what happens to me every 2 years... and also I would never sell my books back to the school.. sell them directly to students.. the students get a deal and you get more money.. and the book stores don't hate to buy them for top dollar.. they have a set price and NEVER buy them back for even close to what they are worth.. half.com or amazon is your best bet

maybe if your account doesn't have 300 in it, you can't buy art. This bitch will probably rub out another sweet painting in no time anyway.

I can pay her in installments, but the $300 was a one-time offer because she wanted to go out of town and needed the money. So now it's back to full price. $650 for that one because it was so fucking time intensive.

Another friend of mine arranged installments for 2 of her other works for $500 total, and she's doing 3-4 payments on it.

I think I'm just going to commission her to paint me a massive one... to be completed some time before the new year. I've got a king sized bed, so getting a medium sized/small one would look really silly above there. Maybe one a little less detailed so that it won't cost a million dollars. Hah.
