how he never broke out of the zach character was pretty great- of course fallon couldnt keep himself from laughing. that guy sucks at late night tv.

Fallon does suck. The first few episodes are just FULL of awkward moments. Like he tries to get the audience to laugh...and no one does.

More proof that Jimmy Fallon is really only tolerable when there's someone else leading the bit.

jesus christ, I could do better than Fallon. he has like no improv skills

Wow. That was so awesome that not even Fallon could screw it up. He certainly did try as hard as he could though. Could he not stifle a laugh for the 10 whole seconds it would have taken to do the "time out" gag correctly? What a hack.

and whats sad is that with the hair and clothes, Mark-Paul Gosselaar still looks about 20

you guys realized that Conan pretty much sucked this hard when he started out, right? Give Fallon a break. It's a new format for him and he obviously hasn't sunk in to his groove yet.

With that said, I never watch the show but I did record it just to see the Zach Morris skit. That's the funniest thing I've seen on TV in a while, but I probably owe the laughs to nostalgia. Them busting out "Friends Forever" was great, even better watching Fallon fumble as he tried to singalong.

I think it's cool when celebrities can check their ego at the door and embrace old characters or whatnot.

It seems like only yesterday we started,
But soon we'll put away our books and pens.
We'll go on with our lives once we have parted,
But how can we say farewell to our friends?

The double dates, the parties, and the dances,
Crammin' for a midterm until three.
The football games, the Max, and the romances,
Soon Bayside will be just a memory.

Our four years here have all become unravled,
And so our high school story finally ends.
But years from now, no matter where we've travelled,
We'll all look back and think about our friends.
We'll all look back and think about our friends.

he did that in a lot of skits with horatio sanz and it was pretty much to get attention. tracy morgan made some comment that he hated that fallon would do it so often, and told him if he ever did that in any of his skits he wouldnt be in another one- he never laughed.

I still can't believe that Fallon's show is getting the good ratings it's apparently getting. Wtf?

I'll cut the guy a break because he might start to suck less over time, but still...

um. ok. however: Conan was a writer going to late night tv which is a pretty incredible transition. Fallon is a known television personality who has never been funny. So I don't think there's anything to expect in regards to improving or "sinking into a groove." Guy sucks. He's always sucked, and he's probably sucking Lorne Michaels' wang.

Craig Ferguson is on another channel at the same time slot, and is fantastic. I suggest people start switching instead of bitching about Fallon. Thanks.

Ferguson is hilarious, and that's one of the biggest reasons I'm glad that Conan got the Tonight Show spot... Now I can watch both of them without having to TiVo one or the other.
