so, there was a weird bookbag behind the pepsi machine at work today, and i hear it was there yesterday too. someone freaked out about it and called the police, who in turn called the bombsquad. the bonb squad brought out there walle looking robot, and after having to hang out across the street from work for 2 hours walle blasted the bookbag with his shotgun arm or whatever, destroying the pepsi machine and nearly starting a small fire. so the bomb squad cunt comes out with the most high tech device i have ever seen, a long pole with a hook on one end and drags the bookbag out from behind the machine, spilling it's contents all over the side walk.

and what threat to america was in this bag you ask? it was stuffed full of around 50 pornographic video tapes, and a few magazines, witch now, shreaded are blowing all over the parking lot of the shopping center.

god bless homeland security.

I'm pretty sure if a backpack was lying around work for a few days I would just open it to see what was inside.

Then again, I do work at a daycare.

where do you work?

is this the way people normally think in such a situation? mainly because I'm a bit concerned with how I would have handled this, which would have been to...ugh, oh I dunno, open the damn thing? being that its only a bookbag and all...

sucks for you though! had you grown a pair, you'd be the owner of all of that sweet ass porn! but alas, it has been decimated because of your fear of boooookbags

If there had been anything dangerous in the bag, however unlikely, you would have been bitching about how no one had called the police soon enough. Yeah! Fuck caution with suspiciously placed bags!

Atlanta 96', WTC 93?

No, you're totally right though, it could never happen here. Better not exercise any caution.

yeah, better exercise caution since there has been two terrorist bombing attacks in the states in the last 20 years. (have a sense of humor before you go jacking off your terrorist knowledge)

Right, because that was the relevant point there. The point there was that YOU were wrong, and in fact it does occur on U.S. soil, oh and you know, a few times a day elsewhere. Like I said, however unlikely it is that someone wants to blow up your shopping center, a book bag lying in a hidden place for an extended period of time is somewhat suspicious. Obviously if this had occurred on the subway in New York it would be a little bit more suspicious, but I also have no idea where you are from.

i think if the bookbag was there for an extended period of time it would be less suspicious.
what kind of useless terrorist leaves that shit lying around?
'I'll get to this shit next tuesday. On tuesday, I'm blowing the fuck out of this place'.

I was thinking more like a few hours or something. I don't think I would necessarily call the police myself as, yes, in all likelyhood its not a bomb... Like I said though its dependant on location and I have no idea where this guy is from. I'm not saying I freak out whenever they raise the terror alert color or something ridiculous, but if no one exercised any caution I think it would be a much larger problem.

I'm fairly sure I would still just open that shit and see what was inside/completely ignore it. Of course there is the possibility that someone would bomb a shopping center, but personally I think I would rather get blown up than live in a world where I am fearful I am going to get bombed while getting groceries.

Totally true, but to write it off as "this is america" is unbelievably fucking stupid.
