my computer is fucked up. when im working on something, all of a sudden these new windows keep popping up. most of the time they just say 'navigation canceled', sometimes they ask me to apply for a greencard...
im trying to finish my thesis but this is really frustrating. who can help me? do i have a virus?

You should run Spybot - Search & Destroy every once in a while, and maybe think about upgrading to Vista or any Linux distro. If you really wanna be on the safe side.

No, it's free. Use the home version instead of the professional version.
You'll have to register to get a serial number to activate it, but it's totally free.
