What is that?

I hope you're never rear-ended while sitting in it. :/

The only Golf model I like. (It's a VW Golf, right?)

File tag says VW Rabbit. Hope you enjoy it, and hope you were able to negotiate a terrific deal.

Right now, you can somewhat name your own price for a car.

I did get a great deal. It's a 2007 and bought it from my dad's friend. He made literally zero cash on this deal, and they only charged me what they paid for it.

It's so cute! I'm going to take a picture of MY car when i pick it up tomorrow

:erm:

i hope you mean he owns a dealership or something

He doesn't own it, no. But it was the best deal I was going to find anywhere. It's in great shape, it's certified by VW so it comes with a 2 year warranty, and there's still some remaining on the original warranty, too.

Nice pick up.

Now drop it, get tints, a new front lip, and throw some BBS rims on it. Gogogogogogo.

Yes, I'm not a moron. Cars are not an investment at all (except possibly in the case of classic/restored cars).

But I'd rather pay a little extra for this awesome awesome car than buy a used Geo Metro off craigslist for $1000 and drive it til it dies. This one's got a warranty which means that if shit goes wrong, the dealership fixes it.

my dad is insisting on tinting it. I told him, "Over my dead body." He'll probably also want to put my sub and amp in this car too, but it's got a decent sound system in it already... Unlike my current ride. My 95 ford escort wagon.

Why do you feel like you're gonna throw up?
How much did you get it for? I'm jealous, but be ready for expensive repairs after the warranty expires.

Because I hate spending money, so writing that check for the down payment made me all sick. Then the idea of a car payment every month also made me a little sick.

I got a good deal. KBB has it for 12,800 or so and I got it for under 12. And yeah, it's a VW, so repairs are going to suck, but at least I know it'll last!

Good luck. I had a VW for about a year, and had to trade it in because I was spending more on repairs each month than the damn payment.

Got a Honda, and haven't had a problem since.

in south africa we call VW's, and golf's specifically 'bicycles'.
Mostly cause they're about as easy to steal as a bicycle.
