the reason i have set up the poll options thusly, requiring specification within the thread, is that with our 12 option max for polls, i felt like we would have too many voting x and younger, y and older. for example, 19 and younger and 30 and older was the best guess i could make, but it really doesn't give me the insight into teens and above thirties that i'd like

i realize it removes some of the convenience that polls usually offer, but this way we can see the spectrum better at a glace, and we can drill down for more detail if we want

i'm not sure i understand everything in your post, but pleased to further my acquaintance as well.

i made this thread mainly to get an idea of what posters fell in what age ranges. i had been getting the impression that our frequent posters have been skewing younger (22 and under), and the 26 and up posters were posting less frequently. not based on any real data or analysis, just general, unfocused observation. i haven't been posting as much lately, at least in part because i didn't feel i was relating very well to a lot of posters, and wanted to get a feel for how much of that might be age related. i haven't drawn any conclusions yet.
