i was getting at this:

"I believe strong in God."

"Jail wakes a lot of people up."

"I am your brother!"

"A coward takes off."

"Staying in school gets you success."

"Anybody- everybody can make a mistake."

"We got to arrest them and fix them."

"If he makes it- I'll feel like its because I helped a little bit."

"There's hope- a miracle happened to me."

"Sometimes even though you win- you lose."

"When mercy is shown- mercy is given."

"Never do you hit a woman."

"When you take that first step - it's over- you've won."

"Kids remember this- no one is perfect - just keep trying!"

"At the end of the criminal rainbow- there is no pot of gold."

"Sometimes tough love is to love the person back into being straight."

"You know God gives me that inner strength that super strength to get through things."

"I like it when a plan comes together that you didn't plan."

"She brought back a little blessing and that is Abby."

"He robs anyone on Christmas- he deserves double the sentence."

"I would rather catch someone with crimes against women and children."

"We're in the business of finding guys that are hard to find."

"I hunt down human beings and bring them back to justice."

"Sometimes nothing works until they shut the door and lock the key."

"The completely opposite of a criminal is a lawman."

"Beth sees it differently- but that's the balance in our relationship."

"#1 you never hit a women. #2- you never hit a pregnant woman."

"He now knows there's another side of life and he could get there."

"My grandfather would say they're all helpable if they wake up this side of the dirt."

"In the bible it says- by your fruits you are known. In this world- fruits means your record."

"He got his chance right now. He needs to take advantage and I hope he remembers this day."

"When you break someone down- make sure you always raise them up higher than they were before."

"If you love them and their addicted - you've got to do something about it. You have to show them tough love."

"Almost 30 years ago when the warden said do something with your life- you must become a productive member of society- this is what he meant."

"The hunter when he understands his prey- its easier for him to find them."

"Your mind is torn between love and righteousness, then honey go righteousness and God will bless you back."

"I say to all fathers - be as good as you can be- because your sons and daughters will follow in your footsteps."

"Were going to say a prayer right here. Lord thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to change lives again. We will not let you down. In Jesus' name - amen."

"A lot of times in life we're all looking for that second chance. The kids I met tonight - who I'm representing have not even had their first chance. Some of these kids- I don't know how in the world they can do it without a mother or a father. What would I have done without my mother?"

"In 1979 Texas Department of Corrections let me loose and they said you know what - go be a productive member of society. I said what? Here is 200 dollars for 18 months making all those big rocks little rocks. Texas was hell back in the seventies- now go do something with your life. I walked out- there is a big clock in the Texas penitentiary and it said high noonsville. I flipped it the bird and cashed my check and away in life I went. Everywhere I went for a job they said what did you do in your past- I said - will discuss. Have you ever been convicted of a felony? I said will discuss. My own father said - you can't get a drivers license, you can't vote, you might as well burn your birth certificate. I had one person that thought I could be something - that was my mother. My mother was part ________ Indian. She said- no matter what son- the sun rises on you. I ain't nothing special- I'm five foor seven soaking wet I'm 200 pounds. What I had was heart and faith and I said I'm going to do this for every convict alive and I'm going to make sure the world knows just because we fell one time doesn't mean we can't get up and let out light shine."

"Start dreaming right now and planning your future."

"You never know what a champion is or to be a winner unless you first learn to lose."

"If you get a goal in your mind- go for it- you're not in hell yet, you can still make collect calls, you can still talk to your old lady, you can still have children and you can still love and be loved."

billy comes off half smart, half whiny as usual.
no shocking statements we haven't heard before
just your usual "soundbites"... and he calls them soundbites too.
"want to hear my soundbite about guitar hero??? 'you don't play guitar hero when you are a guitar hero'"

it was only 12 minutes on the actual show? It's like 23 on the website, plus George screws up at the end lol.

I was fairly impressed overall. As always, Billy (and Jimmy) has coherent, topical things to say about other people, but is vague in the extreme when it comes to his own band.

It was pretty Woodstock when he was talking about "we are who we ARE, so it's, like, the band is who we are, so it's, like, we CAN'T leave the band, because, like, man, it's just what we do!" Typical artistic bullshit.

But I liked when he was talking about how, even when they "got it right" during SD/MCIS era, they didn't learn the right lessons from that.

And it was interesting when he said they can't just write 2 or 3 amazing songs, they have to write 10 songs, and 2 or 3 of them will be great (or something to that extent).

I thought Billy was almost getting choked up when he was talking about the record companies....it's like he was talking about his grandfather being in Dachau or something. I thought he was going to have tears of rage in his eyes, real talk.

12 mins,
i double checked,
they only start up 41mins into the episode, by the time they're done chatting it's time for a commercial break & a wrap up and that's the end of the hour.

here's the upload of the 12 mins that I saw airing.

i'll keep the entire episode (1.2gb) if someone is interested.

That interviewer sucked. He let Bill off easy on the "sell out" question.

Bill just did his usual "spin" on shit like the "reunion shows" controversy. Making fun of those who want to hear old songs that they lost their virginity to (as if those are the only people who want to hear those songs) and the blogger thing was pathetic. It's been talked about already. Nothing new to really discuss.

Well, thats the first time I really started to dislike Jimmy since this whole thing started. He was more vocal, and spouting off Bill talking points. Came off as an asshole.

For the most part it was a pretty good interview. When Billy referenced the 20th Anniversary tour it seems as though he was talking in present tense. So it is likely the interview took place in early Nov when they were in Toronto.

It was pretty interesting to hear them talk shortly about zwan. and that billy mentions that it's THE smashing pumpkins. Something I recall people always talking about after MCIS came out and the "the" came out.

I liked the we only come out at night story. And that billy checks the site to read what people has to say.

When Billy said "do the Zero dance" during the interview it made me laugh and smile.

Of course I was sad that it was a lot of the same info that anyone who has followed a person already knew. But I think it painted a good picture for anyone who didn't know much about the band.

I just think it's fucking sad that he thinks there are no fans out there who want to listen to new stuff. I'm not going to say i don't want to hear the old stuff, because i do. But I equally download and buy the new stuff to see what its like, some of which i'll listen to and others which i won't.

Of course they can play what they want at concerts and thats fine, but there seems to be very little respect in general for the people who pay money to listen to and go and see them.

i really don't think he's understanding it right when he says that everyone selects 2 or 3 songs from an album and never plays the others again. he selects as proof reactions of people at the concerts.

i think the idea is that when you strongly hold a belief, you're going to seek out evidence to support it. and so when he believes no one listens to anything other than a few select songs, he's going to look out and notice some people seeming apathetic and place undue emphasis on them, or project their reactions (plenty of which could be misinterpreted in the first place) onto a much larger population. while ignoring or discounting those reacting positively, because those reactions don't support his belief.

and if he were to go down the road of 2 or 3 songs a year like he said (if i heard that right), i don't think that'll go well. when in the last 10 years have bill and the fans seen eye to eye on what songs are good?

all of that said, i can't really blame him for being frustrated. i'd be pretty displeased if my fans were a bunch of fucks!!! you hear that?? you fucks!!!

He's referring to the mainstream audience, not Pumpkins fans. I see it all the time. Most bands have a small amount of material that crosses over to the mainstream (e.g. a couple of songs on an album). I'm guilty of having a few tracks from bands who I don't care for other than a couple of singles. I even have a handful of CDs that I have ripped off a few songs into MP3 and never so much as looked at the disc again. In the past it was easier (at least in Australia) to buy a full album than to get singles (before Napster and iTunes). Now people can easily buy a single without b-sides (which might get you interested in the band more).

Most people think of the Pumpkins the way you think of any band you don't know much about but like those two songs you've heard on the radio.

I think the Pumpkins' work is particularly prone to this as they are not mainstream enough for many people, but they have a few songs that were bona fide hits and/or have real mainstream appeal (BWBW, Disarm).

Hell, judging by the whining 12-year-olds on Netphoria, most 'fans' only listen to a couple of songs on any Corgan album since Adore.

I agree with you about not liking the sound of 3 songs a year. To me the Pumpkins are an album band. What makes many of their songs important to me is their context within an album. I would probably never have listened to half the songs on MCIS a second time if they weren't a part of a larger piece of music. Now I love pretty much every song on that album.

about the 2-3 song thing...
while selling music on itunes, it's easy to get a sales report for individual songs vs albums, which individual songs...
and myspace players make it even easier to see exactly how many song plays each track gets
plus features like last.fm & itunes genius collecting clouds of information
this easy "at hand" data doesn't need any complex number crunching to understand
billy probably isn't coming to these conclusions for delusional reasons.

I was surprised to hear BC reduce MCIS to a lucky spin on a roulette wheel. I have to admit that this is not my favorite album, despite it's popularity, but it still is musically brilliant and I dont believe that it was luck. When you see him up there talking about Korn and you think about the music and art that he's created, it is so odd. Similar to seeing Nirvana and Greenday having rock songs listed higher on the all time rock songs chart than any of his songs and then bwbw being the song they pick. It is a catchy song but when I think of his guitar heroness that's not the rock song that comes to mind. It's mind boggling.
I'm glad that they are happy to find themselves where they are now, working with nice and talented people, without a record label and keeping true to themselves despite what sells and what doesnt. We wouldnt have any Pumpkins music at all if it were any other way. I think that they are in place and have come thru things that very few artists and bands have and they should be so proud.

like he's going to fucking listen to your opinion anyway. he only hears what he wants to hear and see what he wants to see.

it's also arrogant on your part to assume that he actually gives a shit about your thoughts on him. if i remember right he was responding to some fan saying 'billy corgan is dead to me,' which is just a lame thing to say in the first place about anyone and deserves a punch in the face. I'm sure he'd be more open to discussing whatever issue a fan may have, just as long as it's productive and reasonable. But a fan who just isn't feelin' it anymore for this band, should just move on.

seriously, how many fans who no longer enjoy this band still roam this board on a daily basis and complain? I mean he's obviously made it apparent that he's going to continue on with what he's doing now, and could care less about what you think.. sooo why bother? he doesnt have the same # of fans that he did in '96, but like it or not, he does still have a crowd of people who appreciate what he/SP is doing.

also, why do people fail to see his sense of humor? a lot of what he was saying, as far as i could gather, was just him being humorous. I swear to fuck, pumpkins fans have no senses of humor and are better off hanging from a noose. i mean seriously i was hanging out after one of the shows amongst some of the hardcore fans (waiting for bolly), and anytime omeone would crack a lighthearted joke not one of you fucks would smile. the thing that is confusing (well, one of the things) is that he talks about how he & Jimmy are free to do whatever, they don't care about being popular, they can write whatever they want.....

and then you expect him to say "because we know our hardcore fans will understand and appreciate that, even if they don't always like the musical directions we take".

but he never does. recently when he mentions the fans, he's always talking about the "average" fans. I just find it inexplicable that he doesn't get that even a fairly big SP fan probably hasn't heard superchrist, as rome burns, song for a son, and owata, and would have a difficult time really getting into the songs at the show.

that's somehow offensive to him and his vision of what the band is? that's the kind of talk I don't get from him.

and with respect to MCIS, I don't think he was saying it was a fluke they recorded something as good as MCIS, I think he was saying it was a fluke it "resonated" with so many millions of people in the 90s.

Right, on his end he works hard, spends a lot of his money to record, put on shows, travel, etc. etc., (of course he profits, but still, he has expenses that i'm sure he questions bothering with), only to have some fans tell him to get bent. He has every right to say fuck you to you. And can you find me a direct quote in this interview where he says the fans hide behind the computer? I think I missed that. So you bought nine of his albums.. that means he made about 9 bucks off of you (maybe less). I don't think he really gives a fuck about your input. If you really want to complain about money lost, take it up with virgin or warner seeing as they have profited most from your purchases. Get on their case for promoting a whiny, self loathing fuck for so long and complain about how you were unfairly baited into buying his records.

let's be fair here. let's help those who feel like they are owed something get their money back.

so lets assume you've bought 10 of Billy's records.

$10.

Let's assume you've attended a concert from everyone of his major tours since 1996. Travel expenses don't count, those are your responsibility, not his.

Let's assume each ticket cost you $50. After show expenses (paying management, promoter, venue fees, employees of the band, band members, travel expenses, etc), Billy has probably pocketed $5 of ticket money.

so..

MCIS tour - $5
Adore tour (doesnt count, all went to charity, you should feel a light growing inside of you).
Arising- $5
Machina- $5
Machina farewell concerts- $5
Zwan tour- $10 (altogether the average fan most likely went to 2 zwan shows)
TFE tour- $5
Zeitgeist tour- $5
August 08 tour - $5
Anniversary tour - $5

again, this is assuming you went to all of those shows. So for album totals and shows, Billy has personally made $60 from you. My advice for you would be to drive up to wherever the fuck he lives these days, and personally ask for your $60 back. I'm sure BC would be more than happy to give you your $60 back if it means getting you off of his ass.

I'm feeling great bro. Like G-R-E-A-T. I taught kids about John Brown today and got them excited about history.

Usually people don't really give a shit what other people say and appreciate the fans they have. Corgan seems to wish he had more fans and was more respected. It's like he's never happy with what he's had or what he still has. He should be thankful and greatful that he's lived such a charmed life. And as far as this ridiculous total cost breakdown, does Rod Blagojevich owe every person that voted for him? Of course he does. You can't go "oh well you really have no excuse to criticize Blago beause after all you were just one vote." THat's a fucking <i>stupid</i> thing to say, and I voted for the Smashing Pumpkins every time I bought tickets, bought a CD, or bought a tee-shirt. All I'm asking in return is for him to stop whining about people attacking him.

And why is this always the debate? Why are there people out there that still think that nobody should ever say anything bad ever? You want to live in China or what?

Why do people apologize and make excuses for this guy? You don't think there's any correlation between what he says and his ever declining respet of people at large? I had friends of mine laughing about "we're a singles band" and they don't even like the Pumpkins and they didn't hear about it from me. He's a fucking laughing stock and Billy's whining about how he's not relevant or super popular anymore is a major reason why.

I mean JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. Is there any bigger anus in the whole of rock music outside of Axl Rose? And why can't I say this? Because it hurts your feelings? Because you don't agree? Lord in heaven.

I had some moron compare politics to the pumpkins in a discussion the other day. Rod Blagojevich's actions affect many, many people, so yes he owes every person that voted for him. Billy's actions don't amount to shit. I'm not telling you your purchases are irrelevant, i'm telling you to get you 60 bucks back and let it go once and for all. Yeah you can say something bad about billy, we all have, but it's brought us NOWHERE. he's a stubborn fuck and he's gonna do it however he wants. it's his instinct, possibly from being smashed in the face by a belt one too many times as a kid, to argue back. he's told the fans countless times in the past few months to just go away. So it's completely pointless for you to spend time and energy complaining, especially if you haven't enjoyed a damn thing this man has done in the past few years. His life should be completely irrelevant to you. He really, seriously, doesn't owe you shit. I think he's done as much as he possibly can for the fans, but he can;t please everybody. Like he said to one fan, give him a million bucks and he'll play a personal concert for you, whatever the fuck you want to hear.

And why is this always the debate? Why are there people out there that still think that nobody should ever say anything bad ever? You want to live in China or what?

say whatever yo want, but it's a waste of energy at this point. if you are so put off by his whining, ignore it. if he's such a laughing stock in public now, discontinue your association with him.

Why do people apologize and make excuses for this guy? You don't think there's any correlation between what he says and his ever declining respet of people at large? I had friends of mine laughing about "we're a singles band" and they don't even like the Pumpkins and they didn't hear about it from me. He's a fucking laughing stock and Billy's whining about how he's not relevant or super popular anymore is a major reason why.

again.... whhhhhhy is it so important to you? why why why why? so you've figured it out. he's a poser, angry loser dolt. he's no longer the same hero he was to you in 1996. find a new hero and move on.

I mean JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. Is there any bigger anus in the whole of rock music outside of Axl Rose? And why can't I say this? Because it hurts your feelings? Because you don't agree? Lord in heaven.

because everyone already knows this. it's a tired game to say it now. tired game for a tired band with tired fans. you have as hard enough time getting over it as billy does. So how does that make you any better than him? it doesn't you are just as whiny as he is.

And lastly, I've had and continue to get plenty of nasty low blow attacks on me on the internet. Do I go out and complain about how people on the internet are making fun of me? NO BECAUSE IT'S THE INTERNET AND I DON'T FUCKING CARE WHAT THEY THINK.

he's been this way since 1998. 10 years ago. at this point, if you are still a fan, you listen to the music and avoid his childish behavior. it's eating his career up. but to continue bitching about it, well it's like giving a screaming child the attention he wants. you're only allowing yourself to be a part of the drama. so either enjoy his music and avoid him, or just give up on the fuck altogether.

also, jimmy probably owes you about 60 bucks as well. you can try to take it up with james and darcy too, but they'll probably just sue you.

This interview was one of the more refreshing ones of late, and I personally thought Billy seemed in good spirits, capable of dealing with things in a healthy human way, who really seems to have a clear sense of identity, even if it doesn't all seem to add up. I've been on Netphoria since 1998 and the vibe here towards Billy has been largely been in turn viscious, mocking, and completely unsupportive of everything he's done since that time. And its' been the same cast of characters too. Don't get me wrong, I'm firmly in that crowd of old school fans who thinks Billy's done his share of cringe inducing antics/dissapointing material in those invervening years, but I actually think this "fuck you, I'll do what I want" attitude might help make us all a little less pathalogically neurotic towards the band. We're all in our twenties now, we SHOULD have better things to do than act like Billy owes us anything. He's given me countless hours of deep existential comfort and provided the sountrack to my youth. I think he's more than willing to meet us halfway on constructive criticism but I can see how the constant demonizing and dehumanizing that goes on with the misanthropic crowd pushes him to the point where he's not afraid to throw a punch back. I'd love to see him make the Pumpkins the best band in the world again, but if that's not in the cards than its not like I'm stuck. It's his fucking band.

Oh, and I think he ended up being right about Superchrist. The recorded version and the one on If All Goes Wrong suck, but it's kind of cool to see that song evolve from THAT into the beast that it is now. I think overall the band is really starting to find its identity now, and this whole anti-album thing is probably diversionary. I think a lot of the things he says and does is just to provoke a dialogue.

I just can't believe the fucking politics comparison. Politicians are the ones running the country/world, the powers that can take sole responsibility for the quality of your life. SP, makes music, like many other rock bands in the entertainment industry. If you take a band THAT seriously, where they have some sort of impact on the overall quality of your life, well then you have some issues that I wouldn't blame Billy and Co. not wanting to have anything to do with.

I recently finished reading a biography on Jim Morrison. The fact that the guy was an asshole, a drunk, exhibited occaisonal mysogyny, put on more than his share of trainwreck performances, and released a lot of mediocre material after the flawlessness of the first two Doors records doesn't change my opionon for a second that he's one of my hero's and I'm grateful that he was alive and made the art that he did. People really need to have some fucking perspective when it comes to examining what it is about music that compels their interest in the first place.

Actually there are some pretty famous instants of Morrison being belligerant and antagonistic towards his fans (though the story of Jomo and the Smoothies might have been his finest, most redeeming moment), or crashing other bands show and behaving like a loutish lunatic. Then there is Roger Waters, arguably the geatest songwriter of all-time, who actualy took it so far that he spat in a fans face at one concert in 1977. A lot the fascism themes of the Wall derive from his experience as an increasingly alienated, cynical frontman with a disintegrating conscience on the Animals tour. In Billy's case I think we just have to accept that he is weird, paradoxical, and occaisionally delusional. I liked the Hour interview because he seemed more relaxed, liked he'd be in private conversation among freinds, than the akward, self-contradicting guy ranting on stage on this most recent tour.

...>The Soft Parade is the only Doors album I don't have (having been informed by freinds that it indeed sucks) so I can't really comment on it. In my mind they were perfect on S/T and Strange Days, but a lot of the albums afteward contained bloated, filler songs with terrible lyrics. Robby Kreigers "Love Her Madly" comes to mind. But then I have to concede there are songs like "Roadhouse Blues", "Riders on the Storm", and "Not to Touch the Earth" which are classics.

alright, can you be more presice on what he said to you then , the circumstance and all?

All I saw and know is on the videos on youtube, some review etc...so I've seen his response on stage, or after the show where ,as you said ,he said basicaly "non happy" fans to fuck off.
It's not to defend him, but I just undestand his answer to that kind of fans..
come on , we all know he is giving all his life to do his music and shows...that he takes it very seriously....and some fans keep yelling " your show sucks, play Cherub rock, or Zero or disarm or whatever" all the way....
So you can imagine that of course it's very frustrating and disapointing for him to always have a group of people that keep complaining while the show and after loudly for what ?...a setlist.
I just understand that at the end he says "fuck off" to that people that are actually not fan anymore, or fan of something he's not anymore...I won't make you learn that everyone change and need to move forward...so understand he doesn't want to be stuck on his previous song, witch apparently has still kept singging by the way, for his fans...

I don't defend him, as I keep saying, he is a human, with his mood and wanting, so like everybody when someone disapoint him, he's not happy...and if you insult him, he can insult you back THAT'S ALL
I'm not saying he's right or wrong, I'm just saying that I understand...
If you're an artist and I keep following you and saying "what the hell are you doing that's sucks!!!, you should do that or that, come on fucker I paid for you DO THAT , BE LIKE THAT or give my money back!! " how will you react? seriously

For me, it's the first time I see fans so openly "mad" at a band...they did fingers all the way in the shows apparently, insulting him too, so how do you want him to react?

I think he explains well his point of view in this interview.

so if you have your reason to be mad alright , he has his too...that's all I'm saying

He's not like most of us because he'll call you on your crap even when turning the other cheek would be the easier way out. There's a great irony in the unexpected folly of your responses literally illustrating Billy's point. In your 15 minutes once every couple of weeks diatribes, how much immature passion have you expended in the name of your self-important, indignant need to tell Billy what he gets to be mad about concerning the musical pursuits he's literally given his life to? It scares me that you apparently teach children. You don't have to be like that you know. It's your choice every step of the way, starting now.

Are you even aware of what this argument is about? It has to do with the simple fact that this jeudeo-christian inclination to parse reality in moralistic terms is tabloidal and jouvenille. That you would expend so much indignant energy whining about a marginal celebity of whom is obviously still, for seemingly no reason at all, extremely relevent in your life is pathalogical. It's the high school mentality of, "Like oh my God, I can't believe Corgan said THAT!", which has nothing to do with anything. Corgan isn't a philanthropist, he's a musician, and is under no obligation to be your best freind.

Right now you are the Nancy Grace of Netphoria.

The Doors -
Break on Through
The End
Moonlight Drive
When the Music's Over
The Unkown Soldier
L.A Woman
Rider's on the Storm
etc...
= an average band

I have no idea what your point was about the Doors, if you ever had one. I was merely pointing out that Morrison was one of a collective, not the sole driving force of the band. So whatever you say.

Yeah I guess Corgan has every right to say what he does. So how come that doesn't give me the right to say he's a Gargantuan Megadouche on this board? You fucks make NO sense. And by the way I dunno why people keep thinking I'm really upset about this and Billy Corgan means a lot to me. I haven't bought anything he's done since Machina which I hated. Sos, I dunno. You guys are the ones that actually watch these interviews and buy these albums and apoligize for his idiocy. You're the ones that aren't embarrassed to have ever been an SP fan. He's the guy that keeps telling fans "fuck you" and "fuck off". I'm mearly explaining why he's such a goddamn joke to everyone except for the cavedwellers in this thread that don't like me. I mean lead singers are arrogant assfaces to begin with but they usually don't take their fucked up assbrained shitmongering self infatuation to this level. You guys keep defending the indefensible and I'll laugh about it with everyone else. I don't care.

Also he should punch me/choke me whatever he wants to do to negative fans. I'm still waiting.

My point was that the fact that you don't like Billy Corgan as a person is not worth throwing tantrums over. Like Jim Morrison, he's the singer/songwriter/visionary leader of his band, the indignation and disgust you may have over their characters is so far beyond the point it strains the imagination as to wonder why it needs to be magnified ad naseum as though it means anything. I'll never understand what motivates people to take the actions and words of celebrities so seriously, or personally. The "Billy Corgan is an asshole" meme has been in circulation since the early 90's, and his current pattenrn of self-contraditction/uneasy relationship with the fan base has been in place at least since 98. It's no more relevant now pertaining to the quality of his music as it was then. If anything he's mellowed considerably and maybe that explains the decline. Probably makes for a much more engrossing bio as well.

You have every right to make your point. Again... and again... and again. I just don't see why this is so important. I've never had a conversation with Billy Corgan, but I really don't care he's mother Theresa or Charles Manson, I care whether or not he's going to write another Hummer.

Whether or not everyone agrees with me that musician X is a dick isn't worth attatching extrordinary amount of anxiety too. It's not like I'm about to throw away my Led Zepplin records because they fucked underage girls.

Yep, you've made it abundantly clear that you don't give a fuck about Billy Corgan. Now move along to Bush message board griping and moaning about how they actually have fans dumb enough to not spend their boarding time pissing all over Gavin Rosedale.

No he just says it to fans.

You can't hate Billy Corgan and his music and call yourself a fan. You can't harrass him at shows, acitvely promote negativity on Pumpkin related websites, and sneer at everything he says and does with revulsion and contempt and call yourself a fan. Billy is just making a nice long yellow stream around his band name and the stage and saying "Back off! This is my territory!"

What the fuck man. I hate it when people blurt out a big spiel about BC like they think they know exactly what he's up to. All I can say is that he sure isn't normal, and it shows because things like this ^ are said in an effort to explain his abnormality in a single post. Like "Billy is just doing [xyz] and you just don't understand it!". The weird artist is producing weirder defenders.

As for being a fan, I bet if SP put out a brilliant track tomorrow, Trotskilicious would be in love with it. If he wasn't hanging around waiting for an excellent release like the rest of us are, then of course he wouldn't be a fan.

I remember defending the shit out of Tarantula, and I actually still do like that track, because people were shitting all over it as an incitment of an album they haven't heard yet.

So don't give me a bunch of shit about how I'm not a fan and I promote negativity. You know why Billy said fuck you to a fan? <i>Because someone asked him to play a song.</i>

I mean what the <i>fuck</i>?

I don't like Thom Yorke that much either but I still like Radiohead. Maybe because I haven't heard anything about Thom Yorke going apeshit on a fan because they wanted him to play High & Dry. Also if Radiohead broke up I doubt I'd read about Thom blaming Johnny Greenwood for the band breaking up. You know? Seriously what fantasy land do you live in where Billy is a cool guy? Holy shit.
