and come out all crying and shit... hahahahaha you thought you were going to see a happy, fun movie. THE DOG DIES

Great marketing on the studios part too. Making people think it's a fun christmas "comedy"

No shame

my mom woke me up day after christmas and said we had tickets to go see it. turned out being pretty cute, but yeah... at the end my mom and sister were crying.

whenever theres a movie with animals as "stars" i just assume something terrible will happen to the animals, deadly or not.

i had no clue what the book was about and only recalled the advertisements which made it look like a kids fantasy film when it really wanst at all

i had a similar problem.
i also felt moderate amount of guilt, which i justified by turning it into anticipation.

of course the dog dies. it's a book based on the life of a dog.

actually i'm kind of surprised hollywood didn't end it before the dog died
