Thanks for asking. I do in fact like cold weather and it is not yet cold enough. I think 25-32 is a nice winter temperature and soon I will have the old skates on and will be skiing down a majestic mountain.

I don't mind the cold but it being dark at 4:30 kind of sucks. On the mornings when I do yoga, it's dark when I leave the house and it's dark when I leave work...I only see the sun for like 10 minutes.

went on a hike this afternoon with the dog. was pretty brutal for mid november. checked the closest weather station and when i was out there air temp was around 18F / -8C, wind around 30mph, windchill around 1F / -17C.

today we actually had seasonally appropriate weather. It was amazing. It's been 10-15 degrees warmer than usual the past few weeks.

I love that it gets dark at 6pm. Especially on the shitty days when I have to go to bed at 7pm. I hate having to go to bed that early in the summer. It's still fucking BRIGHT OUTSIDE I can't sleep through this UGH.

My new store (I transferred there in the beginning of this month) opens at 4.30am every day. We're really close to the airport, so we get a LOT of commuters/red-eye riders and pilots/flight attendants/etc. So since we open at 4.30am, we have to be there at 4am. I live about 20-30 minutes away depending on lights/traffic.

At my old store, we had to be there at 5am. So when I worked there, I woke up at 3.30 in the morning to shower and stuff first...

I miss working night/closing shifts. Those were my favorite. but with the promotion and new store, I have to suck it up and work in the mornings 3-4 days a week.

yeah that's pretty damn early. I thought being at job sites at 7am was early....


The morning crew who work my favorite Starbucks are always zombies in the morning and it doesn't help that the one fella goes to jazz bars almost every night.

Yeah. Surprisingly, the switch hasn't been so bad because on my week off, I got on a pretty decent sleep schedule. I fucked it up last week because I closed 5 nights, and now I have to go back to waking up early.

Fri- 5.30am wakeup
Sat, Sun, Mon- 3am wakeup

Soon, though, I will be able to make the schedules, and I won't be scheduling myself for 4am shifts anymore. The earliest I'd want to be there is 8. Which means I still have to wake up at 530 am because of the traffic. Sooo much construction on the highway by my store means that it takes an extra 20 minutes to get 1/2 a mile.

it's been getting dark around 5:30 here i think, pretty ridiculous. i end up going to sleep so much earlier.
