View Full Version : I just realized that I qualify to join Mensa
Hate the Hater 11-18-2008, 11:33 PM But, it's going to cost me $109 for the first year, then $52 each year after that. I'm not sure if it's worth it really...it doesn't seem like you get much other than bragging rights.
See if you qualify here: American Mensa | Qualifying Test Scores (http://www.us.mensa.org/Content/AML/NavigationMenu/Join/SubmitTestScores/QualifyingTestScores/QualifyingScores.htm)
Right. And yet you're spending your time creeping other people out on a Smashing Pumpkins message board.

Right, sorry.
Hate the Hater 11-18-2008, 11:49 PM Based on the test score requirements, I would bet that several people on this forum qualify.

They only require an IQ test score of something like a lowly 130-132 depending on the test.

Holy shit. What's the next step up from Mensa? And then what's the next step up from them?
Eulogy 11-19-2008, 08:36 AM is there any reason that i should not believe that mensa is worthless and stupid?

Didn't they reconfigure the SAT scoring system a few years back? I preferred the ACT to the SAT anyway.

That was the score listed for the old version of the SATs. The new SATs are easy as hell which is probably why they don't even list a score for those.
ravenguy2000 11-19-2008, 05:44 PM Also there's a writing part on the SATs now. I get the feeling Mensa could really give a shit about writing skills when there are cubes to be visualized and rearranged in your head and obtuse vocabulary anagrams to be pondered.

i took both, and one was not any easier than the other.
