I picked it up from Target this morning (I had to wait for Target to open) for Dan.
Left it next to his cell phone, on top of the TV in plain sight.
His birthday is Sunday, soo.. yeah. silly dorks.

my brother is balls deep in this right now. he grabbed it at meijer last night and is at lvl 71.

I'm waiting on my hubby to get home to level our characters, so I started a Death Knight.... holy crap is the storyline awesome.

I reserved a copy at the local gamestop and was going to go at midnight but I was tired and didnt want to wait in line for 2 hours. I went this morning when they opened but I was picking up my bf's parlly start playing yet. havent had a chance to really start playing yet. I am installing it now and am I going to play it for a few horus before I go on a mini vacation this weekend.

I think I am going to focus on leveling up my rogue instead of making a death knight. I don't play enough to level up two characters at once :( And I want to be able to raid with all my guild buddies.

man I honestly didnt go to the midnight release extravaganza last night becuase I live in a suburb and I was afraid of being with 100 14 year old high school kids. They were also having a costume contest.............. I like playing the game but there is a limit to my infatuation with it.

I played WoW for like three weeks - I was in guilds, I raided with lots of people, but DAMN that game is boring.

No, only 40something, but I played with the lvl70 char of a friend of mine a few times, and it was just as dull to me. It's strange, I always thought I'd have a high addiction potential when it comes to computer games (and MMPORPGs in particular), but apparently that's not the case anymore. :/

This game got old fast, I tried out warhammer online to and it was pretty good but I kinda got bored with that already to. These games are boycotting decent story and fantasy immersion for predictable, hugely repetitive fodder for time wasting. I really hate that they actually bow to this low attention span to imagination syndrome. Then again it seems like 80% of games do it these days, or maybe I jsut got older and boringly nostalgic for the old games that seemed to collaborate fairly unique ideas and gameplay so perfectly.

hardly. i'm playing at a friend's place and he just hit 79. there's actually a guild on our server that has cleared ALL wotlk raiding content already!
i'm usually not a hardcore wow player, but i got nothing to do at the moment and it's fun.

There's no way that's true about the guild on the your server. There hasn't even been enough time to farm gear to reach a point where they could finish all the content.

The only guild to come close is <a href="http://twentyfifthnovember.com/">this one</a>, and they actually get paid (sponsored) to clear content first.

I don't see the point in powerleveling through everything anyway. There's an amazing amount of backstory in the beginning quests, really fun stuff, and I just don't see how you can enjoy it by flying through it.

Yeah, Arthas is not to be included until the very last patch of the expansion, similar to The Sunwell patch. So we've got a while to wait before anyone sees it all. I don't see the fun in running through all the end game that fast. I've seen everything up through T6 content but it's not fun when it becomes a job.

Also, if I were to take on WoW and Netphoria I'd have to give up sleeping entirely.

diablo 1 creeped the hell out of me when i was 10. the series is done in a great style for sure. unlike warcraft. the warcraft universe is retarded.

I couldn't imagine staying up for three days straight trying to hit 80. I can be pretty obsessive like that but I don't think WoW is a big enough part of my life for me to care that much, haha.

Anyway, I just did a free character transfer to the new PVE server Galakrond.... I was on Bloodscalp and it was pretty full and PvP and I am sick of being ganked by horde. most of my guild is moving for the same reasons.

If my bf is out of town or it's basketball season... a few hours a couple nights a week and then on sunday afternoon or maybe saturday if nothing is going on.

I don't watch much TV though =/

No, actually, I've been rather enjoying it. I've been taking my time leveling, the quests are incredibly well written, and the phasing technology they've implemented with some of the later quests is totally badass. I like the feeling of helping the Alliance take camps away from the scourge in Icecrown and seeing the story develop before my eyes, rather than doing the quests and seeing the same damn scourge camp there the next day, even though I did a quest that destroyed it.

Why the hell would you wait until you hit 80 to cancel your account if you don't like it? That's fucking dumb. If you don't like the game, cancel it now before you waste money on it. Or sell your account on Ebay. At least make some money off of it.

Have you done the Wrathgate quests yet (the huge cut-scene)?

if so, then yes... and that was a pretty cool movie. Although the towns people all screaming and running everywhere in that town got annoying to listen to haha

Icecrown is like a continuation of that.

My favorite so far is the quest where you get the murloc costume and the quest where you poke monkeys with sticks.
