Sure thing. But i am going keep it really fundamental. I am not looking to sway one because people will believe what they will. But they don't need to be angry towards one another just because they don't believe the same thing.

I believe that marriage has ALWAYS been a from its beginning an institution created by God. Which has been, and always will be between man and a women. It was Adam and Eve who were the 1st to be married. And the definition of marriage stems from there.

To take something as sacred as marriage and to have it be something man made and thus can be treated in a way to be redefined at mans own desire is horrendous.

At this time man is trying to do just that. And to stand idle by and let something sacred as marriage which I believe has always been from God to be now raped of his sacred definition would be wrong. Therefore I act to encourage that prop 8 which would only define marriage in CALIFORNIA as between a man and a women, to be passed.

People won't agree with me. But I assume that most of the fundamental argument would be a belief in what marriage is. A sacred institution created and established by God or that created of man.

What really creeps me out about the Yes on 8 campaign is the immense financial backing its getting from Mormon cultists, many of whom are writing checks from outside the state. Some of these cultists are withdrawing their life savings to get proposition 8 passed. I have no idea how this issue became so important to the Mormon cult that its trumps the faltering economy, the war, the broken health care system, crime, education, and CA's crumbling infrastructure, but I know it takes an immense amount of hatred of homosexuals to do so and the whole thing is just very fucking creepy to me.

It's freedom of speech. Corporations are allowed to act as a person would, and just like a person they are free to have opinions on anything and contribute money to causes they believe in. It's not a right. It's a privelege and a legal status that the state grants to those who are qualified for it, just like a drivers license. When the state extends privelege to some, but denies it to others because they are different, it is called discrimination which our state constitution explicitly forbids. And yes nimrod, they are different. Marriage is a legal status not granted on the sole basis of individuals (that all men, gay or straight, have the 'right' to marry a woman), but to the entity of couples (which ARE different as they come in either MF, FF, MM combinations). The state supreme court was not only well within its bounds, but doing its basic job by upholding that constitution.

Besides, all this talk over semantics is really a smokescreen. No one's rights were violated by the courts decisions, taxes were not raised and there are no negative consequences or fallouts over legalized same sex marriage.

i think the metric system discussion, even though it was completely unnecessary to begin with ("oh, you're american. this reminds me, why don't you guys use the metric system?!?"), amongst others, proved that monty isn't the brightest sheep in the flock.

the things he says might sound quite retarded, but we must all keep in mind these aren't his own words. he picked them up in church or on a website and doesn't have the mental capabilities to question them.

on the other hand, he is smart enough to remember the arguments, given in church or on a website, to defend these words, and for that i applaud him. well done, boy. well done.
