haven't heard this song for a long time and i can't describe how fucking good it is. it puts you in a dreamy happy mood and relaxing sensation. i dont know how it didnt end up in one of the albums but i miss these kind of songs in the new pumpkins.

IMO, best acoustic song SP has ever done. If they play it for the 20th shows, my heart will explode. Will always be in my Top 10.

Listened to this last night actually. This and La Dolly Vita are two of my favorites.

It's up there in the rankings for me too, next to Whir. I especially enjoy driving to it when the weather's nice, unlike Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete which I like to listen to when its raining. But yea, there's a 'lazy' quality to it that strikes me well.

Listening to this just makes me sad that the new Pumpkins totally exclude this dreamy, subtle sound.

You're right. I live in the Southern most part of Canada....which is actually south of Detroit.

But I'm not living at Point Pelee, which is the most southern point in all of Canada.

Listening to this just makes me sad that the new Pumpkins totally exclude this dreamy, subtle sound.

Parts of Stellar or Pomp and Circumstances might have been attempts at that vibe, but they're not as moony and soothing.

yep, the dreamy sp was an essential element that's sorely missing now.

obscured is in my top 5. immortal.

:banging:

The very-electric-guitar outro helps too. Someone here mentioned once how much they love the brief harmony/resolution of the two guitars before it fades back out. Awesome.

Bumping this to shout out the genius choice to juxtapose Hello Kitty Kat (less a riff than a fucking mountain range, with a climax/outro that's somehow both raw/raucous and exquisitely engineered) directly into the soothing, loping strum and thump of possibly the prettiest lil sighing gem of bill's entire catalogue...

Probably my favorite one-two punch of all SP, up there with Bodies into 33

Fuck I love pisces!

that's a truly sublime version

Only time they ever did it electric with the real band, too. Acoustic doesn't really do the vibe justice and all the other electric ones have THE SHREDDER
