You know, Disney movie from the early 90s, remake of the Incredible Journey? No one ever mentions this anymore but it is pretty awesome for a Disney movie. Or maybe I am just remembering it nostalgically. I remember being about 3 years old and watching this with my mom and dad and absolutely bawling at the last scene.

I thought i had but it turn out that was an animated show with the same name.

It looks like some kind of Milo and Otis set up. Obviously worse though. You cannot top a dog riding a turtle to the shore.

The only sad thing about that movie is that all those animals are totally dead by now

Although there would be balance in this world if those children actors were dead too. Let's all pray they are.

I hope everyone who had a role in that movie is dead, it would be a small atonement for the new levels of animal cruelty it achieved.

I was bawling at the part where he falls in the hole and can't make it up the slippery mud. I can't believe I actually remember sitting in the theater crying.

How old were you? I think this came out when I was 3 or 4 and I watched it with my parents and my then baby sister in our living room of our old apartment at the time. I just remember when Shadow limps into view over the top of the hill I completely lost it and started sobbing. My parents commented that maybe the movie was "a little too grown up" for me.

Don't think I've ever seen "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey", however, Grant Morrison's We3 is sort of the cyberpunk / Terminator version of that story on crack where the animals are part cyborg, shoot weapons, and can talk. Great shit. Everyone read We3. At it's heart, it *is* a talking Disney animal story, just really really really fucked up and violent.
