I never released this recording because it has some problems. The loud parts all sound 'crunchy' thx to my shitty attenuator cable and R-09 being set at 1/30. I had an amazing seat this night, but it was just too loud for my rig (wish I woulda had my dabs.. sigh). The acoustic portion sounds ridiculously good... again sigh.

I've tried to fix it with just about everything I can get my hands on (waves x-crackle, izotope rx, etc.) but have never been satisfied with the results. I'm uploading the unedited 16/44.1 version simply for completeness.

If someone is really good with digital editing, plz take a shot at cleaning up this recording. There's an amazing show under there somewhere. With any success, I'd be happy to provide the 24/48 masters for a proper edit.

When that first note of HMM hit in the encore I was so disappointed. I was really hoping we'd get a night without it.

thanks. Like you said it is distorted, but to me this recording is better then any pumpkins recording pre 2000, so it cant be that bad.

NOT AT ALL!!! The problem is actually the R-09 and the fact that the Nbox has a fixed +20db of gain. Running line in into the R-09 I had to set my levels at 1/30 to avoid massive clipping.

I was also afraid to use much attenuation with that awful variable attenuator cable. When the R-09 is set to 1/30, it compresses the sound much like a limiter would. I need to buy or make a higher quality -20db attentuator or get another nbox w/ no gain.

Alternatively, I could go just go back to using my D100 which I actually still enjoy using.

I know what you mean. I haven't sold my old M1 either. I just can't. Too many great memories attached to it. And it's always good to have a backup recorder when you need one.
