So I had my iPod on shuffle today and up came For Your Love from the acoustic show Zwan played in Paris (02/08/2003)... They sounded so damn good acoustic that it got me to wondering.

1. Does anyone have the encore from that show recorded, I believe it was A Certain Kind of Change and A New Poetry

2. I used to have a copy of the acoustic show they played in Atlanta at the Tree Studio on 04/07/2003, can someone upload it to the Live Music Archive? Thanks...

3. Finally were there any other shows were they played all (or primarily) acoustic?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Definitely seek out the shows from December 2001 if you haven't yet. Those shows are essential Zwan, and doubly so if you're into acoustic Zwan. Personally, I've always kinda thought the 2003 acoustic stuff pales in comparison to those shows.

Yep the Djali Zwan shows at the Emerson and the Intersection... amazing. The songs are eclectic, not the album cuts and the 3 b-sides from the Paris show.

with regards to one and two, they're both around, but Zwan has a no SBD policy as far as LMA, so the Tree Studio show can't be upped

I'm also interested in these two. Can anyone upload it somewhere (don't care about the format, mp3>128 prefered)?

The Djali Zwan shows, I think, are really some of Billy's best work. Songs like 'revolve' and 'signal this strong' I rediscovered this weekend remained on repeat in winamp for some time.

The 'Zwan Imaginary Box Set' download that's floating around is a good collection.

I have the following shows on the hub, user 'Sparky33' (click pics to enlarge)
<a href="http://img147.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zwanlist2qu2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/6747/zwanlist2qu2.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://img604.imageshack.us/content.php?page=blogpost&files=img147/6747/zwanlist2qu2.jpg" title="QuickPost">

And also the following

<a href="http://img296.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zwanlist1tm8.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/7058/zwanlist1tm8.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://img604.imageshack.us/content.php?page=blogpost&files=img296/7058/zwanlist1tm8.jpg" title="QuickPost">

These shows below are downloading now and should be ready to share soon.

Why do people still share archive.org shows on the hubb?

Why do people still share archive.org shows on the hubb?

what we have to weed out every show that is now up somewhere else on the internet and move it to a seperate folder?

i'm not ragging on the sharing. don't get me wrong.

actually if your share folder is all you music, then it would make sense why they're not separated.

If I'm looking to download a number of shows, then I'll use the hub and let it download them all with just a few clicks. With archive.org, I'd have to download each track individually, which I have the patience to do for just a few shows in a day. I got 65 gb queu on DC++ now, mostly video. Should be done in a week or so.

the emerson theatre show is my fav bootleg of billy's career. Great crowd. decent recording. Amazing songs including the best performances of the ones from that time.

God's gonna set this world on fire with the crowd is priceless.

Best RING THE BELLS ever.

Whatever whenever is a gem.

Girl with the cruel face is hypnotic.

Chicks just get in the way is hilarious.

have you tried the Firefox add-on DownThemAll! :?
go to the "All Files: HTTP" section on the left and "download them all"
set your filter for .flac (or what ever other files you also want)
and away it goes...

no video on archive.org, so this info might not change your habits
yet it is a nice download accelerator if you feel like trying it out anyways.

I really need to start using it. I've always been too lazy to bother..

so did anyone find A Certain Kind of Change and A New Poetry from that paris show?

I have them, but they were burned to a CD from MP3. If you don't mind that, I can rip them and upload them as flacs or something.

I wonder if there's a lossless version around, though.

Should I convert the songs to mp3 and further degrade them? I thought people preferred flac not because they can actually hear the difference after one conversion, but because it's a way not to lose quality after ripping/encoding a song dozens of times. I figured I'd upload the best I had, and people could convert it as they wished. To be honest, it would have been easier to work with mp3s, since my connection speed is ridiculous.

Well, that's if this is actually what you're whining about. :erm:

I had no idea there was an encore to this show.

Just for the record: the encore is from a source different from the one that is being circulated. I think it's still FM, though. But the source is definitely different.
