hey rocklobster, you're knowledgable about the early stuff.

not sure if i just missed this fact or what, but do we know exactly what show the live version of She from the TSP demo tape comes from?

yea, i know this has all been discussed in the past. i was just wondering if anything more solid has been determined since the last time this come up, that i may have missed. like you said, theres so many empty 88 and 89 setlists from shows we do know about, let alone shows we don't know about.

your 10-29 theory is a logical one. i agree it sounds tighter than 1988-10-05, but who knows...that could have just been nerves. i wish we knew which months the demo recording sessions in 1988 occured, to help fill-out the timeline. i mean, just becsause they mention jimmy and the timeline, it doesn't necessarily mean they were talking about this demo tape, right? i'll have to listen to that again. i still think there may be a missing date in their somewhere.

i deifnitely remember Sun and those others on the psycho vid being from the same show. would love to know about that performance as well (though its also not the one from TSP Demo). i'm gonna have to pop that in, because i don't remember how this one sounded (in terms of tightness timeline) compared to the other versions we have.

I'm listening to the interview from 1995-10-08 and at the start of the interview, they are playing in the background a version of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, what billy describes as the "original" I've looked through my MCIS demos, but dont seem to find it. Anyone know where I can find it?

I found the MCIS version I was looking for, it was on Mashed Potatoes, duh. I've had mashed potatoes for some time now, and never gave it a thorough listen...this song is amazing, "the original inspiration behind the album"-BC
